Lack of livelihood opportunities for tribal people is one of the chief causes of their backward status as compared with the other social groups. This issue is aggravated by the high rate of displacements faced by tribal people due to various industrial projects etc., which also causes loss of livelihood for them among other things. This Ministry has been taking various steps for facilitating sustainable livelihood for tribal populations in different sectors. Stress has been given on vocational education and formal technical education for tribal youth. States are being encouraged to take upskill development initiatives for tribal youth with at least 50% of such activities to be oriented for women.

Through MyGov, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs seeks suggestions/information from all sections of the society regarding various livelihood possibilities for tribal people, availability of skilled/unskilled manpower still unemployed, various traditional skills available with the tribal population, new trends and interests among tribal youth, corresponding skilling needs and possibilities etc.

The major problem we are facing is the allocated money for the tribal people is not reaching to the beneficiary. We need a centralized platform to monitor the projects from the start to the completion stage. We need to make sure that a single rupee should not be wasted. They know a lot of stuffs like how to get honey from deep forest, herbal plants, etc etc.the problem is they don't have any proper space in the society to market their products effectively.Let us make sure a space for them first.

How to widen the tax base and improve tax collection? Incentivize the people to pay tax by creating mechanisms to reward those who regularly pay their tax. Issue a special card (special PAN Card) to those tax payers who have regularly pay their tax above a certain amount of tax (e.g. Rs. 10 or 50 or 100 thousand for past three years). The special PAN card could make them eligible for easier or faster access to government benefits and services.

Organic farming as announced by Hon PM for northeast will not work unless detail survey is conducted on the type of cereal, fruits, etc that is fit for organic farming.Soil in the hills have become so denuded that cabbage, potato, rice, maize fail without fertiliser.Govt will waste its money on making slogans only if the reality is not verified in the villages.Where and how last year allotment on this head utilised?

its impossible to speed up railways immediately .but if we go by just increasing 10percent every year .it would not burden engg dept and also resources to develop tech can be inducted cheaply .also it would increase 10 % capacity every year 5% job creation also .but with decrease 10 % electric comsuption with simple ideas like LED lights . pls use japanese KAIZEN philosphy. improve performance and decrease expenses . pls bring in 5rs surcharge in tickets for solar plants reserved for railways.

Government should do more number of study towards their habits. Then only the relative efforts could be made. Without knowing their custom if we try to do something, we may end up doing the opposite I think. Somewhere I heard that our former PM Nehruji attended one dam opening ceremony. In that to honor one tribal woman,Nehruji put the flower garland to her. This spoiled that unmarried woman's life as in their custom they wont accept that.So there should be a basic understanding about their rules
