Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

Method of teaching in government schoos are not attractive. It should be entertaining and playfull so that children will love to learn.

The foremost reason for dropping out is the curriculum & syllabus sans ground realities. It has least relationship with the problems the students face in their lives later on. Nor it seeks to develop any livelihood skills in them. Hence this will ultimately make them feel the schooling as meaningless and useless activity. Hence they drop out. We have to frame the curriculum suitable to local needs lifestyles and cultural values. More particularly the medium should be the local tribal language.

The worst thing which contributes to such dropouts is lack of motivation for further studies .they need jobs so that they can feed their family...the problem with current syllabus is its incapacity to accommodate job oriented subjects.. Gandhi ji focused on skill development when he was there in Africa..he knew that apart from knowledge students need something which can shape their future..so Include skill dev. subjects in curriculum & it should be from class 6th and onwards..

Tribal development efforts should have- 1.Small scale,relevant industries near their dwellings to employ adults with baby care centre facilities. 2.Construct safe houses registred under the name of the women. 3.Functioning schools ,hospital ,bank in the area. 4.Enforced mid day meal programme for children. 5.Special kitchens in tribal areas to serve wholesome food to pregnant mothers daily. 6.Ban liquor shops in the area. 7.Effective policing to prevent exploitation. 8.Bank A/C for women.

Products made by the tribal people to be used at the national level by this tribal products will be more in demand and the income of tribals will automatically increase

50% of Bharat can be clean by removing the tents of poor and in place of that build appartment for them and give work of labour to that people only so some what Bharat will also be clean and unemployed people will also get employment

NO govt employee send their child in govt school I think not a single teacher of govt school send their child to govt school. when to send the child to govt school, will mandatory for govt employee . attendance and standard of govt school will increase dramatically.. thanx and regards
