The electronics waste (e-waste) comprises of discarded electrical and electronic equipment, and poses serious challenges globally for improper disposal practices especially in informal sector.

Hon’ble PM has emphasized the need for creating awareness for environmental issues under “Swach Digital Bharat’ during his address at NASSCOM event on 01.03.2015. On the direction of Hon’ble PM, MeitY has initiated the “Awareness Programme on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste through Digital India Initiative” over a period of five years to create awareness among the public about the hazards of e-waste recycling by the informal sector and educate them about alternate methods of disposing their e-waste.

Over 95 per cent of e-waste generated is managed by the informal sector. Integration of the informal sector and access to environmentally safe recycling technologies may reduce the health and environmental hazards. In addition to technology, capacity building, skill management, scientific recycling mechanism, business management training are also required for safe recycling of e-waste.

In this context, MeitY is inviting citizen inputs to provide solution for leakage of E-Waste in the informal sector, and suggest proper recycling technology for E-Waste that is economically available.

The last date of submission of suggestions is 4th April, 2018.

For any further information about E-Waste, please visit the GREENE website.

1:- As we have garbage collector coming to our house like that only there should be separate van for collecting e-waste . 2:- Then after collecting e-waste there should be a different center's (one in a city) for collection. 3:- Then we should have to see that if we can have any reusable waste or any other reusable item in that. 4:- After that proper measure for disposal should be considered. By doing this much also I think it could be beneficial.

The thing is we collect all the waste in bulk which is combined with all kind of waste we don't have any separating system which can separate e waste and other so basically all waste should be separated from the start so for starter government should have this kind of system or can take help from#foreign country then this separated waste can be sent to reqired industry for recycling

1. open e-waste collection centers in all cities. 2. open recycling center one in each district. all e-waste from cities should come here. 3. electronic item manufacturers may be directed to open these centers. 4. an e- waste app may be made.

Mobile Companies ans CELL Operators should work jointly in such a way that, IMEI number and Mobile no should combinely tracked. Then trapping of Mobile thieves and Anti socials became easier because they just through old SIM and switches to new SIM to get rid of their Crimes. In Digital India, the society should be crime free & Criminals should be in custody.

e waste - mobile can be reduced through buyback, reassemble locally into a cheaper set/parts to be customised into reusable parts in other electronic devices. Use of desktop hardwares can be minimised using virtual PCs.Paperless environment may reduce use of other computer peripherals.

Vande Mataram Modi jee, Couldn't have we tried to rescue Indians in Mosul, by a commando action? Similar action in Maldives is needed to save Democracy, due to undue Chinese interference. We need to counter China on multiple fronts. We could have acted against ISIS, to save our citizens, after taking the Iraqi government in confidence, in the form of a limited, surgical strike. We would have gained world sympathy & established ourselves as a Nation with pride Perhaps, we missed the bus!

As e-waste is also a type of waste, so naturally if it can produce the waste value surely we can get the solution. Accordingly if the concerned authority could make a law by which after the use of any electronic/electric item should be replaced like exchange offers etc. On the top of that if the old item is intact, the company can withdraw those returned items and by exempting the polluted parts the item can be resold to the market. and the exempted parts can be re used in recycling process.
