The electronics waste (e-waste) comprises of discarded electrical and electronic equipment, and poses serious challenges globally for improper disposal practices especially in informal sector.

Hon’ble PM has emphasized the need for creating awareness for environmental issues under “Swach Digital Bharat’ during his address at NASSCOM event on 01.03.2015. On the direction of Hon’ble PM, MeitY has initiated the “Awareness Programme on Environmental Hazards of Electronic Waste through Digital India Initiative” over a period of five years to create awareness among the public about the hazards of e-waste recycling by the informal sector and educate them about alternate methods of disposing their e-waste.

Over 95 per cent of e-waste generated is managed by the informal sector. Integration of the informal sector and access to environmentally safe recycling technologies may reduce the health and environmental hazards. In addition to technology, capacity building, skill management, scientific recycling mechanism, business management training are also required for safe recycling of e-waste.

In this context, MeitY is inviting citizen inputs to provide solution for leakage of E-Waste in the informal sector, and suggest proper recycling technology for E-Waste that is economically available.

The last date of submission of suggestions is 4th April, 2018.

अक्सर बात उन बड़ी चीजों की ही होती है जैसे टीवी रेडियो जो खराब हो जाने पर अक्सर जब ठीक ना हों तो फैंक दिए जाते हैं। मगर कुछ छोटी चीज़ें जैसे सीएफएल बल्ब्स आदि जब बेकार हो जाने पर फेंक दिए जाते हैं तो अक्सर वे टूट जाते हैं इससे उनमें पाया जाने वाला पारा मिट्टी या पानी में चला जाता है। मोबाइल्स की बैटरी के खराब हो जाने पर भी कमोवेश ऐसा ही हाल होता है। यह स्थिति अक्सर सभी गांवों में एक समान है। इन चीज़ों की रीसाइक्लिंग कब, कहाँ ओर कैसे की जाती है, शायद ही कोई ऐसा होगा जिसे इस विषय के बारे में पता हो।

Hi,The concept e-waste is not waste, its way for new invention. If the radio is not work we throw it away, but in the radio circuit there is lots of useful component are there, we can use it. Even we can make one common place in every town, city, etc., under gov. to help the researcher or student to grab the component from e-waste that we collect from every one. It helps the student to get component for invention. Using the Other non useful component we can make recycle. kind Regards, Velkumar

આપણે ઇ-વેસ્ટ બાબતમાં નાગરિકોમાં જાગરૂકતા અને ઇ-વેસ્ટ ની ગંભીરતા વિષે નાગરિકોને ભવિષ્યમાં ઉભી થનાર ગંભીર પર્યાવરણ ની સમસ્યાઓથી એક મિશન ની જેમ પ્રયત્નો કરવા પડશે. મારુ એવું સૂચન છે કે નગરો, મહાનગરોમાં જેમ ઘર ઘર કચરો લઈએ છીએ તેમ કોઈ ચોક્કસ દિવસે (દા. ત. રવિવાર) ઇ-વેસ્ટ ભેગો કરવામાં આવે અને આ ઇ-વેસ્ટ ની કિંમત નક્કી કરી આ રકમ ને વેરામાંથી બાદ આપવામાં આવે. જેના બે ફાયદા છે એક વેરા પેટે ની રકમ મળશે અને પાલિકાઓ એનું ચોક્કસ વર્ગીકરણ agency ઘ્વારા નિકાલ કરી આવક ઉભી કરી શકશે. અને ઘણી રોજગારી પણ મળી શકે.

There is lack of awareness about the e waste disposal. Government should advertise about the possible scientific ways of e waste disposal, encourage education courses, promote dramas and compitition creatiing awareness

yes recycle of waste and e waste is feasible .Say cost of waste is paid for 75$.We can disassociate and get plastic waste and even crude petro chemical as well. I had chance to present the same sometime before in TN. But can certainly give more details if requested

E waste can be reused efficiently if we manage to create a logistic chain to take them back to the companies which manufactured it. If this is achieved, then the companies can find a way to deal with it. My suggestion would be to facilitate all shops, super markets or even malls (where ever such electronic goods are sold) for receiving e waste which can then be given back to the companies which are manufacturing them. Awareness programs can be conducted for people's participation..

Hon. PM and Govt. has very honest and nation interest concept in respect to banking policy, the NPA account was kept hidden or by renewing the loan or refreshing the loan without paying the earlier loan,the NPA was fictitiously concealed, but, the Hon.PM has honestly expose and take action again the defaulter in the national interest is great action,such fact should be properly persue to the people,so the people can know the reality of NPA and defualter,instead of misleaded by other,best wishes
