In order to attract funds from NRIs, the Indian banking system has to do more than just offer higher interest rates on FDs/CDs. come up with schemes where people can be part of the growth for the country i.e. infra structure bonds and other bonds which are attractive. Another big area is REAL ESTATE, coz of black money, NRIs dont see any point in investing in India coz when it is time to sell, the buyer will pay partly in Black Money, which cannot be remitted back. Need to stop this FULLY

Dear Modi JI! I am NRI, I belongs to open category. When I was in a school I have seen many of my friends belongs to non-open category have to bear less or don't bear any fees for school. Even though if I score better than them, first priority was to be given to other category students. This happened frequently when applying college forms, University Fees, Government Jobs etc. Appreciate if any action to be taken for equality. equality & unity is important to make my "Naya-Bharat".

1st time in post MKG memory a leader takes to a stage in a foreign land to rally diaspora of India, tacit recognition of what they have achieved from humble beginnings. PM Modi astutely calls on the NRI's as a resource bringing skills, knowhow and experience to UNITE with the 1.25Kore souls, drive ACTION and deliver accelerated PROGRESS. Knowledge rich mellenials unburdened with out-dated notions and restrictions, it time to make a difference to the quality of environs and all life, Jai Hind

Respected Modi Ji, Yesterday I listened to your speech in Madison Square Garden and I had tears in my eyes because we all NRIs and Indians waiting for somebody as strong as you are since our Independence. Sir you have announced the VISA on arrival for US citizens. What about other countries like Canada. Can you please look into this also. There are lot of people who wants to invest or work with Indian businesses and they do not have confidence in getting good, sincere and efficient service. Thanks

It's amazing that PM Modi announced the elimination and simplification of visa rules for PIO and OCI card holders but I was really hoping for him to announce a policy where NRI's would be able to vote outside of India. All other developed nations allow their expatriates to vote in their consulate, I am not sure why India can't implement the same policy. NRI's who still maintain their Indian citizenship should be given their right to vote. I really hope this policy is implement before 2019.

Combining is a good step. In countries like Canada passport get renewed every five years .What I or may be most of the people do not want to go office and update these. it should be for whole life even the age for photos should be clear Once above 30 no new photo and reapply. Even after combining these if we do not want they should continue unless until they go for digital
