Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will share his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ with the farmers of India on 22nd March 2015.

The Prime Minister is very keen to interact with his farmer sisters and brothers across India and would also like to hear their thoughts, ideas and insights on a wide range of issues relating to agriculture. He has requested farmers across India to write to him and send letters to ‘Mann Ki Baat, Akashvani, Sansad Marg, Delhi – 110001’. Some farmers can ask the Prime Minister their question directly during the episode.

MyGov also gives you all this wonderful opportunity to contribute through ideas and inputs for the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode with India’s hardworking farmers.

The PM has repeatedly said that India cannot progress until the farmers of the Nation progress and has assured that the Centre will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the agricultural progress of India.

Many a times it is also seen that farmers grow same products which results in surplus and hence low rates. In cooperative farming groups may decide on which group will produce what item and there by maintain a balance. Like a big organised farming.

Problem of lady farmers: they spend lot of time in kitchen arranging food related stuffs and cooking using wood based stoves (chulla): Sir, you can make these poor ladies lives easy by facilitating a community based kitchen in each village which can provide food to villagers and their families at no-profit-no-loss basis. Food can be cooked using solar and other green energy (to save trees). village women will save lot of time, money, energy and effort that can be utilized in productive activities

Respect Sir, I agree to point raised by Mr. Prafulla Kumar Tripathiji. Rates of agricultural products increase manyfold by the time they reach from fields to market place. I also know its difficult for government to buy everything from market and distribute all across the country. I propose to push cooperative farming where many farmers come together to cultivate one item and sell it to a bulk buyer and eliminate middleman.

Problem- Small land holdings: life of small farmers is really difficult. We can make their life easy using technology, promise them a farm courier service (farm based ecommerce) that can deliver farm related stuffs (seeds, medicines, fertilizers) at farmers door steps. They will save lot of time, money and effort which can be utilized in productive activities. The courier service can deliver farmers stuffs at their door steps and collect their produce (fruits/vegetables) and deliver in towns
