Bidhannagar has been selected by MoUD, GoI under Smart City Mission Phase-I 100 cities. In the next phase, Bidhannagar has to compete with 98 other cities from across the country to make it into the Top 20 cities which will be taken up for the first round of funding, for the financial year 2015-16.

Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation has to submit a Smart City Proposal (SCP) to the Ministry of Urban Development, GOI which shall outline the extensive consultations held with citizens and stakeholders and discussion with elected representatives, experts and solution providers thereby unraveling the aspiration of citizens matched with the vision as illustrated in the Smart City Proposal.

Citizens and stakeholders of Bidhannagar are requested to post their views and suggestions pertaining to the Proposal.

Rajarhat main road is the only road witch connect VIP road(Ultadanga, laketown, kestopur, baghuihati etc) with rajarhat Area (Chinar park, atghara, dashdrone, bablatala etc). Although it is used as two way road but it is very narrow to be used like that. Also, very big vehicles move from this road. Road side Open drains is another cause of worry specially in rainny season. this very important road is full of big potholes and the surface pitch is also gone. Can't have a smart city with such a imp

Smooth concrate extended(from both side) Rajarhat main road. well manage traffic on that road. Morden sewage system for the road side open drains

Roads and parks with public lighting. Underground drainage and electricity wiring. Good Electricity supply and Waste management. Good Transportation connectivity with other parts Intelligent govt services through online facilities Water supply exclusively from source TALA.

I am resident of AE block for 12 years now. Every morning I take the walk along the canal road. I am appalled by the filth and litter that I find along the walk way. There is stray dog every where. There are stray cows. The walk way is litter with filth such as dog and cow drops and human split and garbage from the vats that lined the way. The walk ways are also lined with empty plots being used as vats by residents. The local markets on the walk way are dirty and filthy.

A surrounding that is clear of garbage and litters. A surrounding that is clear of stray dogs and cows. A surrounding that is clear of the mad honking of the autos and the buses. A surrounding that is clear of the encroachment and digups on the walk ways. A surrounding that is clear of the stench coming from the kestopur canal.

Being a resident of Krishnapur,Ward No-26,Kolkata-700102 We are deprived from the undermentioned Items which should be needed: Clean environment, Purified drinking water supply,Underground swearage system,eviction of encroaching footpath,Underground electric supply,children & senior citizen park,Hospital,perodical cleaning of drains & disposal of garbages,daily disposal of household weste etc.to make a smart city.
