India Science (www.indiascience.in) is an Internet-based science Over-The-Top (OTT) TV channel. It is an initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India , implemented and managed by Vigyan Prasar (VP), an autonomous organisation of Department of Science and Technology. This 24x7 video platform is dedicated to science and technology knowledge dissemination, with a strong commitment to spreading scientific awareness especially with Indian perspectives, ethos and cultural milieu. The initiative is supported by National Council of Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST.

Science and Technology are the main driving forces of the nation and fundamental to the progress and growth. But there is a distinct difference between “science” and “scientific”.

What do you think, is the difference and where do you think they relate with each other? How do the two words contribute to building and reinforcing scientific temper among the youth? Send us your views!

Sir, Please see how FAR China has gone using their Mother Tongue. url : https://www.msn.com/en-in/news/science/chinese-scientists-make-world-s-first-light-based-quantum-computer-report/ar-BB1bEmDF?ocid=msedgntp In India we teach ENGLISH and think that ENGLISH makes someone fundu. To excel in research and have Original Thinking and creativity, one need not know English. One must be taught to use their mental faculties to solve problems. India WASTES Resources teaching ENGLISH.

The government should create innovation workshops and pay MSME businesses to send participants there. This will encourage design innovation amongst MSME. All MSME innovations should be provided a VC / Royalty model for scaling up.

It is unfortunate that every branch of life is insinuated by various political backgrounds, for example creation of Food corporation of India without scientific way of storing food grains resulted in a situation that if Central Government give MSP for all crops, whole budget of Government of India go for it& now Congress&others creating situation of anarchy &asking for withdrawal of 3 Farmers bill so Central Government alternatively make state Government pay for food subsidy/MSP instead of center.

Environmental discussions must become more objective, and this includes, especially, debates about the risks of new technologies, which are often ideologically charged. In light of the complex issues involved in sustainable development, we need clearer standards for orienting and assessing our environmental policies.
