Tribal development forms the foundation for the economic growth of a nation which carries with it a substantial portion of the tribal population. Supporting the native tradition is the key to building a strong community and a healthy economy. With 8% of the population of India belonging to the Scheduled Tribe it becomes critical for the government to safeguard their interest and promote their livelihood. TRIFED the Government of India established organization, supported by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been a security net for the tribes across the nation for over 30 years now. It has taken several initiatives for socio-economic welfare and empowerment of tribal communities through capability building, marketing, distribution, packaging, and other supporting activities.

Inhabiting the remotest parts of the country and being reserved, poses several problems for the community as well as the government in assisting their growth

• Dwelling in the Natural Habitat they carry a wealth of knowledge in plants, forest produces as well as ancient herbs, which is tantamount to that of an expert. With efficient support, this can be developed further to generate significant income for the community
• There has been an increase in the rate of unemployment among schedule tribes in the past few years owing to the lack of connection to the mainstream market
• Despite having been given reservations by the central government, residing in rural areas have posed difficulty for them in making the most of the benefits offered
• Members of the tribal community have made noteworthy contributions to the nation right from our struggle for freedom to the field of Healthcare, Education, and Technology. This shows that the community holds the potential to thrive under proper guidance

Taking the aforesaid points into consideration, TRIFED has committed itself to ensuring the all-around welfare of the Indian tribes. This is not limited to just inculcating entrepreneurial skills among them or having built an exclusive brand “Tribes India” for them but extends to establishing Van DhanKendras, providing awareness about vaccination for Covid, providing vocational training, and organizing Trade Fairs on a massive scale. The recent decision to observe the 15th November-the birth anniversary of tribal icon BirsaMunda as “Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas” is praiseworthy and TRIFED would unveil The National Tribal Festival “Aadi Mahotsav” on the following day to commemorate it. This festival is not only a platform for the tribal artisans to showcase their valuable skills but the revenue that it generates for the community is of utmost significance.

TRIFED under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi has been constantly pushing and coming up with reformed measures to realize the mission of Atmanirbhar Bharat by improving the quality of tribal produce, providing technological up-gradation, assisting in research & development and is now keen to see the suggestions of field experts, students, business leaders, social activists, subject-matter experts and all the contributors to this field in order to expedite its mission of economic development of Tribals.

As we mark the 75th year of India’s Independence we want you to have a greater stake in revolutionizing the tribal economy.

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 30th June, 2022

Tribals should be able to sell their products directly to the customers without any middleman. Government can conduct tribal exhibition and give a platform to sell their products and also enable the school/college students to watch how they manufacture a product. Each state should conduct this fair every 6 months. To promote their products an international fair can be organised. So that it will bring more revenue. Tribals should have a good hospital, school, library, medical shops, groceries shops. They should not travel for long distance to get these facilities. A workshop can be organised for school college students and they interact directly with the tribal people and learn from them. Similarly a documentary about the life style of tribals should be made and it should be screened during the tribal fairs and exhibitions. Government should identify the tribals living without any basic facilities and help them to improve their lifestyle. These measures will help them a lot.

According to me, for the economic growth of tribal population can be enhanced by Providing them a platform or government agency ( can be named as "Develop Tribal India") through which they can 1. Help sell their products without any charges or minimal charges. 2. Improve the tribal site as tourist site or creating a place where one can go for one day trip and do some activities in jungle, maintained by tribal people where they can sell their products, showcase their tribal lifestyle etc. 3. Showcasing herbal therapies or products they use like products made from bamboo and also encourage people to use their products.

jai hind sir !! As per times of India Chandigarh newspaper data on date 3.5L undertrials are pending because of low number of judges. it is suggested why can't we use retired judges for the same. we can have private courts under the jurisdiction of existing one's run by retired judges and lawyers/advocates who volunteered and been cleared by state/govt. Less priority or simple or trivial cases for these courts will be assigned by existing courts and they can concentrate on important cases. The retired judges and lawyers/advocates who volunteered to serve their nation can be on contractual agreement for an year and can continue based on their performance and clearance of cases. jai hind

The Lemu farming and further to end this post goat, wild hen farming, turkey farming, duck, rabbit may also be legalized as they are not extinct species now and also good to earn living and come up financially. Jai Hind Jai Bharat ( The first post was by mistake posted before completion)

Respected PM Sir, Good Morning!! The tribals are still unprivileged and weaker sections of our society since years. To strengthen tribal economy, the govt should start them giving loans for small scale entrepreneurship like handicrafts which may include handloom, monuments, handcrafted silk sarees and handloom, silk worm projects, unrestricted woodcraft, handcrafted soaps, wax, bees culture including wild and domestic bees. Cattle farming. The tribals in more deep in jungle areas should also be encouraged to get
