Doing yoga asanas builds strength and tones muscles along with making you flexible. When your body's flexibility increases and your tissues loosen up it gets easier to burn the excessive body fat and tone your muscles. By doing this it also helps to manage chronic health issues.
It brings together physical and mental disciplines to achieve a peaceful body and mind, helps manage stress and anxiety and keeps you relaxed. It also helps in increasing flexibility, muscle strength and body tone. It improves respiration, energy and vitality.
Yoga reduces stress and improves well-being. Yoga can help you lose weight. Yoga builds strength. Yoga improves heart health. Yoga can improve arthritis symptoms.

Yoga's incorporation of meditation and breathing can help improve a person's mental well-being. Regular yoga practice creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration. side from the physical benefits, one of the best benefits of yoga is how it helps a person manage stress, which is known to have devastating effects on the body and mind. Stress can reveal itself in many ways, including back or neck pain, sleeping problems, headaches, drug abuse, and an inability to concentrate. Yoga can be a effective way in developing coping skills and reaching a more positive outlook of life.

There are many reasons why yoga is becoming popular. One thing is that it makes you realize some fundamental facts about yourself. Your body is like a barometer. If you know how to watch it, it tells you everything about you. Not the fancy things that you think about yourself, the real facts about you. Your mind is too deceptive. Every day it says a different thing about you. If you know how to read the body it tells you everything just the way it is, your past, present and future – in a way. That is why fundamental yoga starts with the body.
