A webinar on “Transforming the Health Sector: Union Budget 2021 – Strategies for Implementation” is being organized by the Department of Health & Family Welfare along with the Department of Health Research (DHR), M/o AYUSH and Department of Pharmaceuticals on 23rd February 2021 from 10.30 AM – 1.00PM. The webinar will enable sharing of the key highlights of the budget in respect of the health sector and broad strategies for implementation which build on and leverage reforms, enacted over the past few years. Invited experts will reflect on the challenges and opportunities for strengthening policy reform and implementation and provide suggestions on effective partnerships for positive outcomes. Experts are drawn from academia, research institutions, public health experts, Industry, State health officials, Directors of AIIMS, PGI, JIPMER, NIMHANS, other Central Government Institutions and representatives from FICCI, CII, ASOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce, Healthcare Federation of India.

The key announcements in the Union Budget related to Health Sector are as follows and we seek ideas and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders on the same:

1. Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine to be rolled across the country
2. ₹35000 crore for Covid-19 Vaccine in 2021-22
3. Supplementary Nutrition Programme and Poshan Abhiyan to be merged and launched as Mission Poshan 2.0
4. Outlay ₹64180 crore over 6 years
5. Support for Health and Wellness centres
6. Setting up of Integrated Public Health Labs
7. Establishing critical care hospital blocks
8. Strengthening NCDC
9. Expanding integrated health information portal
10. National Commission for Allied Healthcare Professionals Bill
11. The National Nursing and Midwifery Commission

For any nation the health indicators/natural indicators shows the growth of nation .one of them is IMR and MMR that should be decreased to have a bright future .Many schemes are working for it such as Aayushman Bharat /PM JAY. But the government should focus on gestational diabetes which affects more than 27 lakhs women during pregnancy annualy.If it is addressed the higher maternal and new born morbidity and mortality can be reduced. It will also create a chain of diabetes begetting diabetes.

आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी, covid-19 के बेहतर प्रबंधन तथा कोविड वैक्सीनेशन में सरकार द्वारा बहुत ही सराहनीय कार्य किया गया है। इस कार्य में स्वास्थ्य विभाग में कार्यरत फ्रंटलाइन वर्कर्स एवं संविदा पर कार्यरत विभिन्न प्रकार के कर्मियों का बहुत अधिक योगदान रहा है। कृपया ऐसा कोई मैकेनिज्म बनाया जाए जिससे इन कर्मियों को माह के प्रथम सप्ताह में अपना वेतन मानदेय इत्यादि प्राप्त हो सके और नियत वृद्धि भी मिल सके अभी तक इसमें बहुत विसंगतियां हैं। इसके लिए कार्यक्रम प्रबंधक को उत्तरदाई बनाया जाना चाहिए।

Respected PM sir there are so many good provisions are available in National health mission health sector budget. Vehicle hiring provisions one of them but due to some loopholes, it is not effective as desire. a good mechanism should be developed for better implementation of this provisions.

Every government hospital(allopathy,yunani,homoeo..) should be provided with pockets of medicines Which includes vitamin tablets, calcium tablets, some energy medicines, memory tablets. This pockets can be distributed to every student. Jai Hind

Namaskar In every government hospital, there should be a psychiatrist/counsellor post. When a divorce case, other family cases, Love cases came to police station, case should be recommended to this psychiatrist. All students, employees, etc .... who is in need of help, can contact this psychiatrist. Then many problems like divorce, students' suicides will be stopped. Jaihind

DEAR SIR First of all our country is a agriculgure based country in which majority of people are farmers or belongs to middle class family.To enhance the health sector of our country generic medicine should be implemented. Ambulance facilities ahould be more that should reach the rural belt.appointnent of efficient doctors in the rural belt 24×7 .every district head quarter hoapital should be equiped with the highly skilled doctors as well as equipments.

Dear sir, One india one health plan- free plan. 35000cr of fund to develop india health system . Govt can charge 2 -3% for taxpayers tm so that govt can give free health insurance plan for family for 5000-6000rs for 3 lac sum insured. That will manage to 35000cr new fund to govt. Benefit to govt and society. This wil increase the tax payers. Reduce people money to hospital. Reduce govt spending to Health care system. Increase the GDP of country. Boost health system.
