Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is mandated to lay down a roadmap for Skill development and Entrepreneurship in the country. Developing a comprehensive and holistic policy document is an integral part of the process. This requires a fresh look at the already existing National Policy on Skill Development (NPSD), 2009.

The Ministry has been in the process of drafting a National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015. Preliminary inputs were called for from all concerned Central Ministries/Departments on the work being done in the skill development and entrepreneurship space along with issues/concerns in the sector. The draft National Policy has been developed based on these preliminary inputs and in consultation with various stakeholders during the course of last six months. It is now desired to have wider consultations on the draft policy to develop a cohesive vision and roadmap for skilling India with speed, scale and standards.

a special skill of librarian is needed to handle the second hand libraries which can be set up in every village(multiple in towns) to accumulate books donated by the passed students.It may hold old reference books by seniors.these books can be lended at nominal membership charge to students in need .this way people will feel happy in donating and under privilege will be benefitted by the free books and jobs in the LIBs.GOI has to spend 0 in it.frame the idea in rules and handover it to CSR

India till must and should need skill development.otherwise upcoming generation aiso be the gratuated fools.because they not learned the skill and the study will not help for his future work. I hope this govt. should not lose our hopes. Best of luck for upcoming all future students who make the INDIA shine.jai hind,jai karnataka.

Govt should promote Part time studies and on job study. Should give tax discount for firms reqruiting part time students.

The policy should lay emphasis on the promotion of the following subjects:- Psychology, Indian Culture & Heritage, Environmental Science, Solar Energy Technician, BioGas Technician, Laundry Services, Bakery & Confectionery, Welding Technology, Poultry Farming, Soil & Fertilizer Mgmt, Preservation of Fruits & Vegetables, Usage of Plastics, Water Source Preservation, Political Science, Conflict Resolution Management. The aim of life should not only be money but also living in peace.

We recognize it or not most of the urban homes have maid, and there is huge demand for house hold maid skills, this will allow them earn more money. e.g the cleaning maid does not have skill to iron clothes. http://www.maidtrainingacademy.com/class-descriptions.html

we should use concept of community center in existing government schools which are grossly underutilized to teach various courses e.g https://one.pa.gov.sg

Just like open education course ware , we should build a repository of training material of government training institutes, I think they are not confidential document. this will help job seeker to learn new practical skills, There should be email id created where insitute post training material and some body post it on the internet.
