The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.
 
Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

plz make our education system such that we develop our skills,,in our system we are teached to only memorise and top in exam while it should be practical rather than theoretical..we waste our 20 to 25 years to study for getting job but the main skills we get is in 6 to 9 month in training as in b.tech or grwduating student who learn everything in our job...we can implement practical so that we develop skill much more before we learn and it help in developing india..

We need to frame a proper education system in all states (we can say to all non-BJP states that it is about a nation issue so they have to follow it & cannot flout it) having much much more higher quality & at much cheaper cost..2 very imp subjects must me 1. YOGA, SPORTS & HealthCare 2. Moral Education..these 2 must not be on theretical but on practical application, mandetory & must be at primary,secondary & college education.these 2 can solve lot of social prob like rapes & communal violance

According to me this should be a government cum public authority participation however there are some reputed private players seek their participation with a vision then they can be included.The curriculum be so devised so that there is no difference at all if private participation takes place separately.An arrangement can be reached to share amongst all the three authorities the actual mining fields for training & skill development purposes.

For COAL India,it should be a prerogative of Coal India but for other sector, specially when Govt. has already conducted e-auction for to generate competition in the mining business, those other companies should provide proper skill development training..But there must be a Govt. supervising agency to check on the quality of the traing of same standard so that if someday that worker feels the need to change company, he/she doen't go thorough traing again & can well be connected to Sramevo Jayte
