The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Dear Modiji, I am a lucky person that I had a chance to cast my vote for PM and make a difference for my country even if I am living overseas since years. There are many young Indians on this planet who are still citizen and who wished to vote but where not able to vote because there is no way that they could vote being away from India. Please do something that helps people to cast their vote online, by email or sms and feel proud by making their side contribution for their own India, -Yogesh

Initially by government and immediate induction to industry for practical training. Skills should be evaluated by a reputed government and industry expert council for certification of the individuals based on his knowledge and skills acquired during training. A common notification should be announced for filling of various posts in this sector based on the marks obtained in the training. Selection should be done purely based on marks obtained during training. Sreeram, ISRO
