Padmavathy Bandopadhyay
born 4 November 1944
Lord, seeing your form Touching the Sky With Glory, effulgent,
multi-coloured, having its mouth wide open and possessing large flaming eyes, I, with my innermost self frightened, have lost self-control and find no peace.
Padmavathy Bandopadhyay is the first woman Air Marshal of the Indian Air Force. She is the second woman in the Indian armed forces to be promoted to a three-star rank (after Indian Army's Lt. General Punita Arora).
