The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

To make greenery, avenue plantation can be planted alongside highway and market place and also near bank of river Siang. Siang bank is suitable for Children Park or recreational park. Present conventional Children Park in Kamalighat is be upgraded with better infrastructures.

After that Pasighat need beautification. Tree plantation should be on priority to make township fresh and free of pollution. All the commercial areas/ roads, residential area are to be made green which will boost the beauty of area. Beside planning this to be in this line.

After light and water it comes security of people. To protect or give Safety of its citizen, laws enforcing authority should work courageously. No one irrespective of caste, creed, religion, should be given soft corner which indirectly encourage them to repeat the mistake. Quality of law enforcer should be maintained.

Establishment of proper implementation of the allotted fund. Some basic transformation of our town is necessary right from drainage system to town planning and lay-out. Drainage system has been one of the most common and ignored area. The authority must employ experts in drainage management while drawing plans of uninterrupted drainage.

Expenditure/Disbursement of funds of municipal corporation towards functional of administrative areas the same point as above.Constitutes the majority of income, and as such it is public money. Citizens have right to know what they are contributing.

For initiating tourism following point should be considered:- extend rail line up to ruksin. Extend airlines up to pasighat for general people other than military airbase at pasighat. Use water channel from siang river to construction for generating electricity and water wage can be used etc. installation of two important things:- pollution free industries to be set up here. Water recycles plant to be set up here. Garbage disposals plant to be here.

Being hilly area nearby, Pasighat has vast resources for bringing potable water for its people. These resources are to be tapped properly. It will comparatively cheaper to tape than other city as the sources are very near.
