The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

Roads and transport service to the remote areas from Pasighat is to be improved. Market must be rebuilt systematically and there must be big shopping malls, community hall, stadium, parks etc.

Smart city pasighat:- A) Promoting mixed land use in area based development planning for ‘unplanned areas’ containing a range of compatible activities and land uses close to one another in order to make land use more efficient. The district will unable some flexibility in land use and building by law to adapt to change.Housing and inclusiveness- expand housing opportunity for all

The smart city mission will definitely help pasighat to join the urbanization race, we would be like other metropolitan city. However, it’s important to ensure at equitable and inclusive nature. The thought is progressive as we need to overhaul urban governance and infrastructure born physical and digital.

pasighat is in the middle of the Arunachal Pradesh and has chosen rightly as smart city as it has vast plain land and communication is the best. It need to be made educational hub.

In my dream, smart city Pasighat i see a lot of things that could be put up. It just a dream of me but i deeply want it to be reality my Pasighat, being a smart city should first of all it well developed in drainage and transportation system. One could see how rich our town is with.

Replacing the actual city infrastructures is often unrealistic in term of cost of time. However our existing infrastructure with new intelligence. By this we mean digitalizing and connecting our system so they Can sense, analyze and integrate data and respond intelligence to the need of their jurisdiction in short we can levitate them so they can become process, cities can grow sustain quality of life for their inhabitant making more instrument.

According , the purpose of the smart cities mission is to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life of people by enabling local area development will transform existing areas, including slum into better planned ones, there by improving liveability of the whole city, new areas will be developed around cities.

The first and foremost thing required for any city is maintaining of its cleanliness. Cleanliness includes effective management of garbage and supply of clean and pure water for good health of the citizen.

There is a definition of smart city as such. However, it can be presumed that pasighat city would mobilize the information and communication to deliver better services, reduce the carbon foot print, create a sustainable environment in pasighat, provide better job opportunity for youths and make living condition better for the citizen.

The conceptualization of smart city varies from city to city. The smart cities mission objective is to promote town into city and provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizen, a clean and sustainable environment and application of smart solution.
