The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Pasighat – a credible Smart City.

The last date to submit your suggestions / comments is 10th December, 2015.

These are few sectors in which we need to catch up which planning for smart city. Unless our oldest town pasighat fulfils these basic necessities of its in habitant, the ground for development will never be strong for development will never be strong.

Some other areas of development that we need to focus on serious notes are; 1) Hygiene and sanitation. 2) Waste management system. 3) Waste water treatment. 4) Proper drainage and sewerage.

As we have one of the greatest water sources in the form of night siang so, assured pipeline of water supply and potable water is not beyond reach with proper planning and technology by virtue of gods nature gift of resources hydel and micro-hydel can be the major power provide in solving the frequent electricity problem in the township and peripherals.

Better road facilities public transportation security services establishment of CCTV on a street for monitoring my undesired crimes establishment of libraries which can be used by all the students etc.
