Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

The driving in Investment from Central and State funds should be diversified for all development opportunities. Should be balanced development and its advisable to prepare detailed project report for all potential investments projects

1. Suburban Train or MRTS is required for easy commuting to different parts of the city 2. Located at centre of the state in terms of Geography should attract more FDI for job creation 3. Infrastructure facilities to be improved and should remain as a benchmark for all other cities

14. Plan for railway systems within city like one in Chennai & Mumbai also Metro rail systems 15. Monorail between Chat ram to Central Bus stand 16.Right now we have lot eateries in Public Road side with less hygiene so Plan for Food Courts like ones in Singapore Creates the Employment for Locals List can go on like this endless if you feel this are all worth giving...

As said mentioned by other members , I strongly suggest seperate lane Ambulances and also It will help to create a block polls (like an Toll plaza) in each Traffic signals , so that nobody can rush to cross the signal (when it is red) . It will reduce accident rates. I prefer this because I saw many private and goverment buses rushed to cross the signnal when it shows yellow , this toll will stop them ,

10. Give the Approval to Malls which will have more Parking for Public not only for their customers.. This is concept Popular in Singapore 11. Plan the Express roads within City 12. Plan for pedestrian Signals for Crossing 13. Plan for Central Business Districts (CBD Area) For Business Houses

6. Walking and Joking Parks and Pathway along with Cauvery River 7. Do the Master Plan for rain water harvesting in such way there is Possibility for increasing water reservoirs 8. Plan to remove the Huts with government Housing Schemes so Trichy will be hut Free City 9. Plan For more Option to people to get recreation like Swimming pool / Football / Cricket Grounds /Badminton/tennis Courts (Both Government and Private run have Futsal concept in food ball need very less space)
