Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

Make a platform on every side. At least a 20'0" road must contain 2'0" walk space on either side. Make a view over underground electrical transmission line. Proper rain water storm line should be placed to avoid stagnant of water. Make numerous natural park per area location, it may help more on Clean India concept. Widening the city road is a tough task especially the tennur road (From puthur signal to Thillainagar road make us to angry during riding) These are some of the important things....

City corporation to send an Auto rickshaw with a mike to distribute farming guides to residence on a compact compost which can be made by an used old plastic container or mud pots with bottoms retrofitted with choir mesh to recycle the decomposable vegetable wastes instead of throwing waste outside and polluting. Explain the concept of a kitchen garden organic farming and how to Grow fresh Organic Tomatoes and other vegetables in a Container in every house instead of buying from market

we have no mechanism of managing high volume pedestrian traffic, in many instances, with no separate pedestrian ways, this traffic converges with the vehicular traffic. This causes serious safety hazards as well as slowing down of traffic movement.
