Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

It is very much required to have a ring road to ease the traffic in the city. So, Please take steps to complete the ring road. The long pending Integrated Bus stand has to be set up. Increase the run way in Tiruchirapalli International Airport. Introduce more Trains from Tiruchirapalli to important cities Evict the encroachment in city roads and lay proper roads Under ground drainage system should extend to all the areas of the city. Design a new shopping complex at Gandhi market.

All Important bus stand should have details of bus route no and also a display of next bus arrival with time remaining and route. Wifi connectivity in Main bus stand, railway junction and airport. Places which are having frequent traffic jams should be made one way to ease traffic movement. Height of foot path should be increased and made same level height to prevent two wheelers from riding on it during traffic jam.

Issues pending for last 10 years in Trichy, 1. Integrated bus terminus on out side city limits. 2. Integrated market on out side city limits. 3. Complete ring road. 4. Trichy airport runway expansion to 12500 ft. 5. Include Trichy airport in BASA for Gulf countries. 6. Restore all extended and cancelled trains from Trichy.

1. UGD for entire Trichy city. 2. MRTS/BRTS for Trichy city. 3. Multi level car parking/two wheeler parking. 4. Convert green cap for Ariyamangalam garbage yard. 5. Pedestrian sub ways/skywalk in all important places. 6. Solar power street lights and signals.

increase in CCTV cameras in the city and waste management and cleanliness maintenance in each and every area of the city, availability of easy internet excess through wifi, efficient public transport management and new opportunities for development in almost all sectors of the city will make Tiruchirappalli a smart city

SMART CITY 1. There should be continuous supply of electricity. 2. All the places and the roads should be maintained clean and dust-free. 3. There should not be any stray dogs and beggars. 4. Nobody should be allowed to have any celebrations, meetings or processions on roads. 5. Loudspeakers, dhol and tasa, DJ and any other musical instruments should not be allowed to be played at public places. They should be allowed to be played at private places if noise does not go out.

1. Construct Motor Racing track in Trichy city like Irungattukottai Race Track, Sriperumbadur, Chennai or Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida . There are space available in chennai Road near samayapuram . 2. Construct International cricket stadium in Trichy 3. Connect Trichy with metros Mumbai,Delhi,Bangalore,Varanasi(Pilgrim center),Kolkata,Pune,Hyderabad,Ahmedabad.
