Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

Details about every area, streets,shops,hospitals,schools,colleges,factories etc,should be available to all people through by internet or by any other mode.Even Trichy people cannot able to find the right places. Most of the parking area & roads in the city are occupied by street shops which makes more trouble for people.All the private buses & heavy vehicles uses air horn,it should be banned.If any complaint is made,Reference number & the stipulated time to resolve should be given to the person

Elevated express way from Palpannai to Thuvakudi in Trichy-Tanjore highway.. Ariyamangalam dump yard to be shifted to outskirts and techniques to be done for power generation from Garbage.. Public transportation system to be improved and UMTA to be established for the better transportation..

To avoid congestion, Shastri Road and Thillai Nagar Main road can be made one ways with the cross roads acting as connectors. In Coimbatore, Cross cut road is made one way and designated connecting roads are used for traffic movements between cross cut and 100 feet roads. Same can be made here by availing the cross streets.

It is nice to join this discussion I need to know the actual contact person for issuing the survey sketch for the Ex servicemen colony, ponmalai, trichy - 4. It is to be noted that the area is allotted during 1972 for the retired ex servicemen. But it is very bad to note your perusals that still the area is not subdivisioned for the survey number 269/2C. Kindly note this point at this juncture of development as smart city please do the necessary advice.

9. Small canals like Uyagondan Kudamurtti and others can be cleaned and so that irrigation in the nearby villages can be made effectively. 10. Public must be educated through Cleaniness initiatives and Traffic Management awareness Programmes.

6. Stray animals like castles , pigs , dogs, goats which cause a lot of hindrance to both residential people and the motorists in the roads. 7. Solid Waste Management system should be implemented with the advanced technology as suggested by our Former Corporation Commissioner Mr. Swaran Singh. 8. Drinking water facility can be improved since our city mainly dependent on the River Cauvery for the Drinking water. Construction of check dams can be made where the water table can be increased

2. Being Centre Location of Trichy needs the Better Road Connectivity to rest of the parts of Tamil Nadu. 3. Integrated Bus Stand facility on the outskirts of the city with proper connectivity with the City so that City limit gets extended like Madurai , Tanjore , Chennai , Coimbatore, Tirunelveli. 4. Shifting of the Gandhi Market to new location without affecting the vendors and the public. 5. Proper underground Drainage facility and LED Street Lighting which are solar enabled.
