I have been into many cities in INDIA, But among all the best city is TRICHY only. But in that also corporation should extend the roads which was occupied by roadside shops. And need some Good park to relax for child's to grandparents. Other than that we are clean and keen. We should be united in cleaning the city anytime anywhere.
My TRICHY, smart TRICHY

The Municipal corporation can communiacte more with people through internet. Better information sharing system can be installed to convey people about various services offered by corporation through net facilities. Free WiFi hotspots can be provided throughout the city.

Our people have a tradition of throwing religious waste in river Cauvery. It may be difficult to control the people habits. But govt can provide incinerators on river banks that would only process religious wastes .. in that way the Cauvery river water will not get polluted.

Driving license certification levels should be raised. Driving simulation training should be encouraged. Pedestrians should be educated about their rights and duties to ensure their safety and minimize traffic disruption. The traffic management authorities must also invest in capability building of their field staff, especially for leveraging emerging technologies.

Enforcement of traffic laws in Chennai is much below global standards. A concerted effort must be made to increase the enforcement standards through strict penalties and demerits on the license. Technology should be leveraged to prosecute traffic violators with minimum human intervention. As the deployment of CCTV cameras grows, it can easily be leveraged for traffic enforcement. Concerted efforts need to be made to educate all the stakeholders to improve the traffic situation.

Globally, Smart Transportation Solutions are being implemented to optimize traffic flows. But India has its own unique characteristics and challenges. For example, issues relating to rampant traffic rule violations, pedestrian management, encroachments, event-based disruptions and basic infrastructure constraints, etc. need to be managed. Smart transportation solutions need to be rigorously localized to make them a success.
