Tiruchirappalli City Municipal Corporation has been ranked first among 12 cities selected for implementing Smart City project in Tamil Nadu and is gaining momentum to get shortlisted in the final round of Smart City Challenge where 20 cities would be selected in the first year.

The vibrant citizens of Tiruchirappalli are requested to post their views pertaining to municipal and city’s basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity, sanitation, waste management, transport, parking, energy,housing, IT solutions,safety and security. Residents are encouraged to give their ideas and suggestions at city level as well as local area level solutionsin Tiruchirappalli.

Let us join hands together in making Tiruchirappalli a global Smart City!

My two cents are... Be Eco-friendly: 1. Promote the use of cycle which is good for individual health and to the earth 2. Avoid the use of plastic and promote/produce reusable bags 3. Help farmers by promoting organic farming and make Trichy as a organic food hub in the country and export it to all over world. Be corruption free: 1. Make all govt process and payments online 2. official approvals should be online, shouldn't be a single chance of bribe

மக்கள் நடைபயிற்சிக்கு பூங்கா ஏற்படுத்தி கொடுங்க .. இல்லைன்னா ஸ்மார்ட்சிட்டி இருக்கும் . அதை அனுபவிக்க மக்கள் இருக்கமாட்டாங்க. இன்னும் இருக்கு .. ஆன இத மட்டும் செஞ்சாவே போதும் திருச்சி எங்கயோ போயிடும்.. நீங்க பண்ற செலவ வேற எங்கயாவது பண்ணலாம்.. ஏன்னா என்ஊரு எப்பவுமே அழகுதான் மேற்சொன்னவைதான் அதோட அழக அருவருக்க வைக்குது... என்ன பழைய மரத்ததான் காணோம்...நீங்க இதல்லாம் பண்ணுனா அது தன்னால வந்துடும்.. - நன்றி திருச்சிக்காரன்

பள்ளி நேரத்த மாற்றி மாணவர்களுக்கு சாலைல சுலபமா பள்ளிக்கு போற மாதிரி வழி ஏற்படுத்தி தரணும்.. ஊர்க்காவல்படையை மாநகராட்சி முழுதும் Patrol போடனும். 24 மணிநேரமும்..சீருடையோட... திருச்சிய சுற்றிலும் ஏரி முடியாவிட்டால் குளமாவது ஏற்படுத்தனும்.. இந்த KMCய முதல்ல இடத்த மாத்த சொல்லுங்க பாதி விபத்து அவன்க ஏரியவுலயே நடக்கபோகுது விரைவில்..

4.மாநகராட்சி முழுதும் காலை மாலை 3 முறை குப்பைகளை அப்புறப்படுத்துவது அவசியம். நீங்க பண்ற ஒரு தடவை பத்தாது. எல்லா குப்பை மற்றும் சந்திப்பு பகுதில கண்கானிப்பு கேமரா பொருத்தனும் 5.NSB ரோட்டுக்குள்ள ஒரு வாகனத்தையும் அனுமதிக்க கூடாது .. கண்டிப்பாக ( ஆம்புலன்ஸ் மற்றும் தீ அணைப்பு வண்டியை தவிர மற்ற வண்டிகள் இரவு 11 மணிக்கு மேல அனுமதியுங்கள். 5.எல்லாத்துக்கும் மேல 1995 ல ஸ்வரண்சிங் இருந்தபோது பார்த்த அகலமான திருச்சியோட அசல் சாலைய பாக்கனும்.அதாவது ஆக்கிரமிப்பில் உள்ள எல்லாத்தயும் அப்புறப்படுத்தனும்.

1.மக்கள் அதிகமாக நடமாட்டம் உள்ள இடங்களான தெப்பக்குளம் , மெயின்கார்டுகேட்,காந்தி மார்கெட், ராஜாபார்க் , மரக்கடை, சிந்தாமணி ஆகிய இடங்களில் Traffic Signal மற்றும் ZEBRA Line(மக்கள் சாலைகளை கடக்க) கண்டிப்பாக உருவாக்க வேண்டும்.. 2.இந்த ஹெல்மட் போட சொன்னா மட்டும் போதாது. அதற்குண்டான வசதிய சாலையில் ஏற்படுத்தி தரவேண்டிய கடமை மாநகராட்சியின் கடமை. 3.திருச்சி மாநகர எல்லைக்குள் வரும் அனைத்து வாகனத்திற்கும்.வேக கட்டுபாடு கட்டாயமாக நிர்ணயிக்க வேண்டும்.

A city can be converted into smart not only by modernising ,it should fulfill basic amenities of residents. Then by creating empolyments. My suggestion is to internal transportation should be regularised. The government only be the authority to operte public transportations. Then buses should be improved. Then government not only propose, should implement other modes of transportations like mono, metro rails. Roads needs to be improved ,all areas should be covered under public transportation.
