In an endeavour to address the inadequacies of capacity constraints and improve its modal share in total freight eco system of the country, Indian Railways has come up with Draft National Rail Plan.

A draft of long term strategic plan called the National Rail Plan has been developed to plan infrastructural capacity enhancement along with strategies to increase modal share of the Railways. The National Rail Plan will be a common platform for all future infrastructural, business and financial planning of the Railways. This plan is being circulated among various Ministries for their views now. Railways aim to finalise the Final plan by January 2021.

R/Sir, After going through Passenger forecast, I feel that we need to reassess passenger forecast and focus should be on doubling and signalling so that capacity can be improved with much lower investment. Also focus should be on semi high speed trains. and double decker trains. Viability of HSR is doubtful in case Civil Ministry pushes for UDAN and MORTH to expand National highway network from 1.2 lac KMs to 2 lacs KMs. Reasons for passenger forecast are listed in doc for consideration

For NRI/OCI the OTP on Phones does not work as we have international numbers please activate that feature to allow us to get them to access our accounts when we are out of country.

I think that more efficient involvement of the ministry in railway to utilize the public maximum in the panic occasion. Rail connection need be made to very rural area also to coordinate the country and it's development. Inspiration need to boost up the #AatmaNirbarBharath with the glacing view of our Honble PM. Hello Sir, I have an idea for enhancing inter County tourism and transportation. This can be first of its kind in the whole world if implemented and Indian Railways can sell this idea all over the world. My suggestion is that, arrangements in train bogies should be made in such a way that Tourists can board trains along with their Cars. So that they can enjoy their holidays in their own vehicles with no issues of carrying luggage. Special car carrying bogies can be connected to normal trains.

सबसे पहली दो काम होना चाहिए पहला ट्रेन को टाइम पर चलाएं दूसरा कंफर्म टिकट तीसरा निजी करण से बचें क्योंकि निजी करण का मतलब यह हो गया कि आप से संभल नहीं रहा है इसीलिए आपने दूसरे के हाथों में दिया इसका तो अर्थ यही है कि जो भी ट्रेन लेट एक्सीडेंट या कंफर्म टिकट के लिए जिम्मेदार है वह सरकार हो या कर्मचारी वह निकम्मी है तो इस पर ध्यान देना चाहिए।

Shifting of Shoranur Junction station (Under Palakkad division) to a new location. We the train travellers in Northern Kerala request you to shift the existing Shoranur Junction station to a new location. The new site is just one kilometre from the existing one. By doing so, South bound trains travelling towards Thrissur can stop in the new station. This will make travelling to Northern Kerala and Mangalapuram in Karnataka easier. Thanking you Senthil Kumar

I am hoping that government to immediately start land acquisition and budget allocation for North-South, East Coast, East-West dedicated freight corridors. The year given in the Draft is too much in future i.e. 2051. I think govt should start working on these immediately. At that time we may see new rail technologies like MAGLEV becoming common and traditional wheel on rail system might go obsolete. I am hoping that government merge and corporatise BLW, CLW, ICF, MCF etc into entity IRRC.

Like Refrigerated Sea Transport containers, Reefer Rail Containers should also be introduced. All Major stations should have facilities to handle reefer / frozen items. This should be seen as Kashmir to Kanyakumari / Kutch to Kamakhya fruits and vegetable Transportation Integration Plan
