In an endeavour to address the inadequacies of capacity constraints and improve its modal share in total freight eco system of the country, Indian Railways has come up with Draft National Rail Plan.

A draft of long term strategic plan called the National Rail Plan has been developed to plan infrastructural capacity enhancement along with strategies to increase modal share of the Railways. The National Rail Plan will be a common platform for all future infrastructural, business and financial planning of the Railways. This plan is being circulated among various Ministries for their views now. Railways aim to finalise the Final plan by January 2021.

There are no control on free passengers in some state like U.P and Bihar. Less passenger trains can make crowd in trains. Sometime passengers were sit on the roof of the train. Which is dangerous. numbers of Waiting rooms should be increase.

Privatization of trains can impact the railway system of Country because private sector have a tendency to manage political leaders, parties and railway officials in the benefit of them. They can get the profitable routs , profitable time as compare to public railway. There should be capping of fairs . Grievance system should be more public friendly and efficient.

For professional courses like MBBS, BDS, MD, MDS, PhD, BE, ME etc external examiners are brought from different states and universities. Those exam's dates are fixed in very short notice. For such interstate movement of examiners a special quota of reservation should be given on submission of examiner ship order. Above same type of quota is required for inspectors who will be appointed for inspecting Bank, Institution from NMC, UGC, DCI etc

I have observed the sudden growth as well as improvement in railways. Railways give concessions to many people who have achieved in their field and given them due respect. I personally feel who are genuine national awardees and they served the nation in their field to get awards, should be given not only concessions but also priority in arranging seat or berth preferably in the AC. This should include all National Mineral Awardees. Railways are getting benifit from them by transportation of ores

All trains should have compulsory WiFi, announcing speaker connected with driver/guard for announcing next station & platform on which side or can be electronically displayed like metro rail. Head GRP , Guard & Driver's WhatsApp number should be communicated to all passengers for emergency & security purpose. Severe Patient's irrespective of age should be given priority of lower berth reservation. In long route train there should be one ambulance coup with oxygen,emergency medicine,doctor

I would request to keep choice of berth selection on payment like airlines. Lower berth reservation priority is there for senior citizen & ladies.But some patients ( Cardiac, kidney problem under diuretic treatment with frequent urination, obese person etc ) of lower & middle age group should also be given priority of lower berth reservation on submission of valid document of medical report & /prescription. Railways should be modernized by giving few facilities like metro rail & flight.

The coach position indicators on platforms for long distance trains are a blessing. Thank you. But, when they don’t function, the hell breaks for passengers. Also, abrupt and last-minute changes of platforms for long distance trains is another problem which harasses the passengers immensely. In most of the cases, the public announcement systems at such times make a mockery of the situation by informing the same through the timing, tone, volume, speed and clarity of message which is horrible.
