In an endeavour to address the inadequacies of capacity constraints and improve its modal share in total freight eco system of the country, Indian Railways has come up with Draft National Rail Plan.

A draft of long term strategic plan called the National Rail Plan has been developed to plan infrastructural capacity enhancement along with strategies to increase modal share of the Railways. The National Rail Plan will be a common platform for all future infrastructural, business and financial planning of the Railways. This plan is being circulated among various Ministries for their views now. Railways aim to finalise the Final plan by January 2021.

Suggestions: 1. Promote small vendors in the railway system. There are people i know who are willing to supply home made food to passengers 2. Wifi systems providing access to entertainment and information related to the place of visit, and the products that can be supplied inside the trains. 3. Cleaner toilets are reqiired 3. Most trains take a route through Abu Road Raj. Junction to save time leaving Udaipur with a bad connectivity which causes many people to use taxis to save time

Maximise the use of railway tracks , railway stations, car park etc, by installing solar panels. For railay tracks, PV panels may be installed above the rail track at 4 mtr high and feed power to railway grid

Replace the bulky toilets with modular compact toilets as in airlines. Coaches may be constructed such a way that these toilets may be replaced by opening few bolts and nuts from roof of the coach and lifted out for replacement.

Produce luxury living coaches with complete amenities to hook along with express trains. These coaches may be detached at few selected cities for the tourists to stay there for few reserved days fro local site seeing. Again re connected to another train for the passengers choice of next choice of stoppage for onward tour. A couple of group travellers can enjoy such all India tour as their choice and spend months, without gong through the trouble of booking connecting transports, hotel etc

भारत में जनसंख्या अधिक है और गरीब व मध्यम वर्ग के लोग अधिक है इसलिए मध्यम दूरी व कम दूरी के लिए, सामान्य वर्ग / द्वितीय श्रेणी के डिब्बों वाली रेलगाड़ियों की संख्या बढाई जाये। तथा लम्बी दूरी व मध्यम दूरी की रेलगाड़ियों में द्वितीय श्रेणी के डिब्बों की ‌संख्या बढाई जाये।

Trains are very important. But sometimes when there is emergency we will see that our tickets in in waiting list. And the inside of train is very bad there were fans but full of dirts. There were food but costly, spoiled and coold like ice not good for health. There were washroom but full of dirts and bad smell were coming from them. These were some of the problems. So, please pay attention to this

Many trains are running between east coast line but the availability of the reservations are poor. Waltair division is one among them. for example tirupathi - visakhapatnam double dekker train runs in the night , it is not sleepere. the chairs are for kids below 5 years. seat shuld be imporved and it should run as a day train beween rajahmundry or between vijayawada. Also a train started between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam is snatched away and extended upto bhubneswar. such pratices stop.
