Part 3/6: MEDIA SD NOT ACCEPT ANY ADVT. WITHOUT THIS STD. FEATURE:
If this’s made mandatory, this measure by itself will be the Ist major step in curbing the misleading advts. since such a move will be a big deterrent for any firm to indulge in wrong practices & misleading the aam janta. The raw fear of getting caught red handed in the hands of users/readers & fear of retribution at the receiving end may force all advertisers to exercise utmost caution/restraint during advertising any products.

Part 4 / 6 : STRENGTHEN COMPLAINT REDRESSAL SYSTEM :
Systems sd be such that, in case of no proper response within next 7-10days, the users/readers can approach consumer forums which shall have their presence everywhere, at least in every dist. HQ. The awareness about their (Consumer forum) existence sd be given wide publicity, so that, every citizen is aware of their whereabouts/contact/email id, tel no. etc.. Today 8 to 9 out of 10 citizens are not aware of their consumer rights-JAGO GRAHAK…

Part 5 / 6 : MAKE THE EMAIL ID OF CONSUMER FORUM STANDARDISED & EASY TO REMEMBER
The consumer forum email id should be standardized by joining the name of the district to the consumer forum eg. Name of city / town@consumerforum, etc.. or any other way / form, such that, it is easier to remember the ID by any common citizen, so that, all users can remember it without much effort. This move would help to lodge right complaints at right place, and in the process can help to deter misleading advts.

Part 6 / 6 : LET’S TAKE BENEFIT OF SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AS WELL TO CURB MISLEADING ADVT.
If consumer forum can initiate a helpline in what’s app / facebook / twitter etc. in the lines of helpline initiated at New Delhi for women’s safety, on a national scale, such an initiative can revolutionalize the way complaints are lodged and redressed. A provision to lodge any complaint against misleading advts should also be made available in the web page of consumer forum.

I propose to have website of police where anyone can post the complain with necessary proves/documents which can consider as complaint, anyone can take a picture by his mobile and post the misleading advertisement picture. May be after 1 month these advertisement has to be removed by suitable authority.

Like Censor board passes and certifies films before release, similar authority should be in place to control and pass add. For different media, different branches can be made. No ad should be published untill it is passed by this authority. Any ads which are published should be penalized. Online forum to complaint about these ad's with a deadline based process for taking action further can add strength to it.

Sir, Link all consumer court data and make a ranking/rating data as per the filled cases for the misleading ads. Instruct that company to flash that score when ever they are advertising their product on TV/radio.

Advt loaded with a pre-filled online template into Govt database shared by all newspapers/printers,Upon authenticity can be allowed for publishing except for adoc requests. Also template should contain ADHAAR # ,contact details & confirm the authenticity via OTP Password. This becomes easy for tracking any discrepancies.Even all Govt jobs ads, contract ads can be tracked for expenditure being made by the particular govt dept as well.
