Misleading advertisements, tricks gullible consumer in purchasing the products and services which are often health hazards or substandard in quality, for example – various pills/food supplements, fairness creams, etc.  The Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India having its office at New Delhi, would not be able to check the menace of misleading advertisement without the active participation and help from the State Governments, local self-Governments and the Police department of the States. These authorities are expected to intensify their action against the misleading advertisements as also the misleading advertisers on their own or once altered by the voluntary consumer organizations.

Make the media responsible for any advertisements displayed in their respective their channel/brand. Media does not always want to take controversies over themselves. Henceforth if media is made responsible for the advertisements, then misleading ads may reduce in number.

1)VISUAL EFFECT HELPS THE MANUFACTURER TO CATCH THE CUSTOMER IN THE TRAP . PEOPLE OFTEN COME IN THESE TRAPS AND BUY PRODUCTS . 2)ADS LIKE 100% RESULTS ETC SHOULD BE BANNED AND THEIR POSTERS IN EVERY CITY SHOULD BE REMOVED. THIS SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POLICE AND LOCAL SELF GOVT. 3)AWARENESS PROGRAMMED BY STATE GOVT. SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED.

E-Retail services are quiet common today. They often provide fewer quality specification than what is required, thus trap buyers into buying poor quality products. Refund below Rs1000 can be redeemed as e-wallet system which can be spent only on their products. Delivery date is often misleading thus blocking the buyer to get timely service. Most buyers do not approach the Consumer Court due to too many paperwork and burning of time thus, such every day anti-customer activity flourishes.
