Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

I think it is a bureaucratic step to replace Planning commission by another institution. Why not call the new organization as Planning Commission!! What is needed is an efficient institution that can do the job of planning. The name does not really matter.

Also please connect all gram panchayats of all villages in India and make team to work specifically for them which will take up villages development and social and economical issues and will only focus on them achieving there targets successfuly in time. Because in past we plan things but it have hardly reached to our villages . So why not to dedicate a team only for villages and, monitor that work regularly . Interact with village representation also for same

Each representative should give the activities after consulting with its respective state govt. And according funding should be done to complete that work timely. This will remove any disparity between centre and state. Plus centre should also plan other things on its own by referring comments from this forum and take forward necessary activities on priority basis. Also please there be no govt. Interference in all these works.

Two teams should me made. One team to look for planning long terms activities in country which can take more than a year. Other team which look for small terms activity which should be done in months. Put represantation (one from each state) in both teams should be there after consulting states. Both teams should report directly to PM. and all the work should be completed in defined time as per both teams. Complete reports should be shared with states and citizens timely.

Instead of planning commission there should be an institution named MODI mission for organised development of India having central and state counterparts All MLAs of Rajyasabha Loksabha and Vidhansabha should not be sanctioned their sansadnidhi directly as this is facilitating those who are corrupted Instead which they should be asked to give list of those projects they want to be done in their area And then on basis of meritlist central commission should decide which projects are to be finalise

While forming replacement to planning commission 1. Only highly educated people should be selected (masters+) 2. Those having interdisciplinary experience should be preferred 3. Representation of all age groups e.g. 25-40, 40-55, 55-70 4. Academic merit + practical experience should be weighed 5. Representation to all political parties after satisfying above Such group of individuals should should be divided into expert groups, e.g.expert group : healthcare which should prepare vision document

-I suggest thr shld not bany permanent comision. -Once the purpose is served dissolve it -Members shld be experts both from gov & outside.Gv free space to think them.(conflict of interest shld be taken care) -Set diff comision for diff states (J&K comision can't sit for Karnataka -Execution comsion will execute the plan as per planning comision (time bound, no short cuts) -Monitoring comitte will monitor through out the process. Any point of time thr shld not be replacemt in this comitte
