Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

ONLY TIME BOUND PLANNING WITH REGULAR REVIEW OF OFFICER AS WELL AS INSTITUTION (REPLACING PL.COMM.) ALSO. INSTITUTE SHOULD PLAN FOR ONE YEAR REGULARLY INSTEAD OF FIVE YEAR. IF PLAN IS BIG THAT SHOULD ALSO BE REVIEWED IN ONE YEAR. INST. SHOULD COVER EVERY SECTOR AS AGRICULTURE,INDUSTRY ETC. SO THAT EVERY SECTOR DEVELOPS SIMULTANEOUSLY. AGRICULTURE AND CATTLE DEVELOPMENT SHOULD BE CLUBBED TOGETHER. PMO OR P.M ITSELF SHOULD CHECK REGULARLY.

V have a large coastline from West Bengal to Gujarat.We must plan large desalination plants all along the coastal belt at regular interval of 100-150 kms & take the water generated by pipeline grid all over India. Where ever we have natural water use it for irrigation/ agriculture. We can have public Private participation &start this plan. It would take just 2 years for the plant to be put up. It can be ensured that in 3-4 years from you start. Sir Can i serve you on this while I am projects?

अभ्युदय परिषद Emergence Council The role of a planning team or commission is to set the path in a plethora of alternatives or unknowns. When the mission is set and the goal is known - that is, emergence of India as the "Vishwa Guru", then this team - by whatever name we eventually refer to it - will serve towards counselling India's executive, and supporting the legislature towards this emergence. It will be a de facto "Emergence Council", then why not call it as such.

Modi ji.. This my kind information to PM (INDIA) . Plant a Tree in hole india. Every indian should be plant atleast one TREE in our hole life. This rule complesory . in india more states are more water problem. so in future no of states increse water problem. So need water means PLANT A TREE in india.This not computerised method . every Indian people should PLANT A TREE in practical life.My humble request to U. Sir Please PLANT A TREE. save our NATION. Plant a TREE gave more RAIN.GREEN INDIA.

Policy based national five year planning should be integrated with state, regional and city master plans further deep into zonal level and layout level. Each plan should be coordinating with the higher hierarchy. To implement this, there is a need for the nation to enhance the development and usage of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) for every sector. Policy must be ensured to manifest into physical plan eventually!.

We can have commission to monitor programs of major project to help them/guide them as per their demand to clear the blocker issues. This commission should be powered with capacity to review risk and monitor risk into mitigation plan agreement. The PM can be chairman for that.

the planning commission should implement zero based budgeting, which should set budgets, which should be classified into plans and budgetary allocations for 1 year, 5 years and 10 years. the annual budget exercise by the finance minister should explain the progress and results on actuals vs budgets. the ZBB should be reviewed annually and updated based on the actuals. I SUGGEST TO RENAME THE PLANNING COMMISSION AS ZBB IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS

We cant replace the planning commission but we can improvise it.It should be committee of different experts supported by various people eho will be coordinating execution of various plans. The execution team can be divided on state basis.

Institutions for planning and recomending are many in India. What we require now is some Implementation commission. Whatever it name may be, its work should be as such as to look for each and every policy of government for welfare schemes process of implementation. It should be provided legal powers to convict any if corruption charge is proven against him/her. The central Implementation Commission will look for central policies in state and State IC will look for state policies in the state.
