Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

Respected Modiji, I have availed all my attempts in the IAS exams unsuccessfully but can assure you that i have learnt a lot. The replacement should ascertain 1. Recognition of material, capital and human resources of the country and prioritizing them according to the need. 2.Chalk out a strategy for effective implementation of those in the right areas. 3.recognizing problem areas which are creating hindrance and removing them. 4. Strategizing the machinery required for effective functioning.

Mr. PM I lost my two critical years of student life thinking about political & administrative environment of the country and its possible solutions. All the scams gives me the message that authorities are fooling &looting us & it makes unrest in my heart and distracts my concentration from studies. So please maintain a good atmosphere through social justice as it is the key to internal security, stability, good governance & social development. I know this is not in the agenda but please do it..

see after 68 years of independence if we still have people saying that with 33 rs. people can survive in india. come on when will we realize that when the whole world is in your hand viz smartphones our govt structure still runs on Ms-dos mode. we need people who can understand today's requirement as well as who can plan for the next 30 years for if we cannot see the outcome then it will have the same result. we need realistic people who can visualize and be realistic in approach. india needs it

J&K floods lessons: 1. British planning was right. 2. Center must make a central policy of river outlets and these should be protected - so that no new buildings or malls can come over these areas.

1. It should be manned by new set of management with no baggage of old ideas. Old Planning Commission was headed by generalist bureaucrats who were happy with present functioning of Government. The Planning Commission needed to be populated by experts in specific subjects from within and outside Government system. 2. It should be lean. It should outsource maximum tasks. The tasks like surveys should be assigned to other academic institutes. pls read http://planningcommissionofindia.blogspot.in/

EPMVI COMMISSION (ECONOMIC PLANNING, MISSION & VISION IMPLEMENTATION COMMISSION) (This comprises all stages i.e. planning mission & vision i.e. setting up of goals and then its implementation and this all should be for the benefit of the economy.)

Members should be able to understand the difficulties of the common man. Now a days people refuse to pay a small extra to a porter or taxi. But they don't mind spending on foreign dresses and watches, cigarettes, drinks etc etc for themselves. Such persons should not be a part of the new institution. Likewise persons showing allegiance to foreign notions should also be avoided. Those well versed in traditional Indian methods should be included.

Try to find out real true Bhartiya who have vision for our future generations. Its not necessary that a 99% scorer of their field are the right person to give suggestions but a person who can think beyond the horizon can do the right job for our beloved bharat. These programmed MBA MBBS CA etc are not visionary people , these people are missionaries who have a mission of creating spontaneous wealth. Don't hire policy makers, try to consult policy planes who have common sense and respect live.
