Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

It must be a body with professionals. CAs, Lawyers, Doctors, MBAs, Engineers, Writers, Journalists etc. Also, it must essentially have a few people who have studied art/fine art and are into advertising or other creative field. The inclusion of professionals will ensure maturity and profoundness of the plans. The inclusion of creative personnel will give the boost of out of the box thinking. A plan is like a kite. The kite flies high (creativity) with the string to control it (maturity).

The proposed institution should include some of the successful entrepreneurs, professionals from private sector and consultancy firms and retired officials besides government officials .

Scrap UIDAI. make it a Government department. Don't ask us to share data with companies having foreign connections. It is a shame. Have one unique ID for every citizen by collecting data through post office. Use Government servers and data centres only. Don't allow private participation. Atleast open your eyes now. Nilekani's loss in election is a negative vote for Aadhar.

It shall be Named as " Vision and Guide Commission" which shall have 2 branches : one can look for short term goals and their guidelines whereas another can look for Long term Vision og Country and guide the Nation rightly to achieve those targets.

The erstwhile planning commission may be named as "Vision Development Commission" The erstwhile planning commission may be named as " Value &Vision Commission" The erstwhile planning commission may be named as " India Policy Council"

The erstwhile planning commission may be named as "Vision 2100 Commission" .This will look after problems envisioned as rushing towards India in coming decades by think tanks and solutions extended by experts.

The Planning Commission should be replaced by Executing Commission. The development ideas should be collected from the people of India using such forums. The responsibility of Execution commission is to execute them in timely manner.
