Addressing his fellow Indians from the Red Fort on 15th August 2014 the Prime Minister called for replacing the Planning Commission with another Institution that is in sync with the modern times and most importantly in sync with the aspirations of 21st century India. The Prime Minister also emphasized on the important role the states have to play in taking the nation forward.

This forum invites your innovative ideas on what shape will this proposed institution take in terms of structure, composition and area of functioning. Another area of focus that requires your inputs is how this proposed institution can enhance Centre-State coordination and thus become a true celebration of India’s Federal Structure.

Planning commissio ke tarah governer ka post bhi restructuer karna Hoga.jisper rajya ka jawabdehi ho.fijul kharchi protokol ke nam per RAJ+BHOG KELIYE loktantr me koi jagah nahi ho.on line rajya ka status repot krit karwai ka byora pmo ko de. The primary function of this group is to work on ideas to transform India for the next generation and should be called India Next. The group should comprise of the best talent the country has produced from all walks of life including corporate India and NRI's. No Logo or slogan can make the changes but its you and me who can !! There are three MANDATORY pillars for the success of any project/mission i.e. Planning, Implementation & Feedback. Replacing planning commission with other commission will not give any fruitful result unless power for "Implementation" is not given to that commission !! Planning commission is to be empowered for ensuring Implementation & Review !!

Part 3 of 4: PLAN SPAN: The plans should be for various terms – short (2 year), medium (5 year), decade (10 year), long (25 year), very long (50 year). With smaller teams working on various focus areas and zonal issues, there will emerge better appreciation as also collaboration between states, as well as center. DIMENSIONS: (A) Zonal (multiple adjacent states sharing similar geo issues) (B) National (C) International.

Part 2 of 4: STRUCTURE: The core group should have 3 members from center + 2 from states. They should determine various focus areas and configure respective teams from all of the members. The full set of members should draft policies that should be reviewed annually for revalidation/ refinement. The respective focus area teams should develop plans in line with the policies and place for reviews by the all the members.
