Mr. Finance Minister, Please remove Sec. 194I of the Income Tax Act requiring 1% TDS deduction on payments made for high value property transactions. Since all payments and receipts above Rs. 50000/- anyway requires quoting PAN, the purpose of identifying high value transactions vide Sec. 194I is served. No revenue loss will happen to government. The Sec. 194I imposes cumbersome responsibilities on the purchaser.

1 % people has 58% wealth of India. Law can be made for person who has more than Rs. 200 Cr wealth, as under. When he expired, his successor has to pay 10% of his wealth to Govt.( For 200 Cr. payment will be 20 Cr)For corporate holder 10% of this total wealth OR 20% of his profit, which is lower. Fund will be useful for development of INDIA.
