To encourage JAN BHAGIDARI and to make the procedure of budget formation transparent, the Union Ministry of Finance has decided to invite suggestions for Union Budget 2017-18. As you may recall, this has been a regular feature on MyGov for the last two years.

Citizen from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of the budget making process. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

Last year we had an overwhelming response with over 40,000+ suggestions for Union/ Railway budget. Several of the suggestions received on MyGov were incorporated in the last year’s budget. To know more about these, click here.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th January, 2017.

Please put focus on reviving the agriculture sector. That is the core of our economy. While corporates are needed, we do not need to plead for FDIs if we focus on reviving agriculture. You can give some incentives for farmers to go back to farming and stop the conversion of farmlands to housing / factories. Please allocate lot of money in reviving and protecting the waterbodies. Involve NGOs for doing this activity with stringent norms to ensure it is done properly.

Promoter has 10 directors for 40 % shares and public holding 49 to 60%has no director.We request you to stop this befooling of public shareholders if you want Interest free finance for heavy industries

Interest earned on savings account deposit should be made exempted from income tax for accounts that have Aadhar ID linked. There can be a cap of up to 5,00,000 earned as interest. This will encourage Aadhar inclusion for all accounts and also provide easy capital to banks.

Senior Citizen Savings Scheme Deposit amount needs to be increased to 25 Lakhs from 15 Lakhs and the rate to be not less than 9.00% p.s. in view of devaluation of rupee and lowering of interest rates in Banks. The exemption Limit of Income Tax for senior citizen to be combined with Senior and Super Senior Citizens and kept at at Rs 6.00 Lakhs.

its my humble request to Mr. prime minister please provide full financial support to export during the process of manufacturing to retail stores of other countries and please make liberal policy for business where anyone want to do any business specially related to agriculture and all other businesses.

Need to be consider headcount depend on Taxpayer. As person staying in joint family and all are depend on him, it will be difficult to manage cash flow. Example: Total 6 members are in family (himself, father, mother, wife & two child), in this case he exempted certain amount in Tax slab which will promote joint family culture as well as he can manage cash flow. Please do survey, on an average salaried person paying tax of 30 to 45 days as he worked per annum. Please suggest..

A) INCOME TAX EXEMPTION TO BE RAISED TO 3.5 LACS B) INCOME TAX OF 35% MAY BE LEVIED FOR INCOME ABOVE INR 24 LACS PER ANNUM C) INCOME TAX OF 50% MAY BE LEVIED FOR INCOME ABOVE INR 50 LACS PER ANNUM
