To encourage JAN BHAGIDARI and to make the procedure of budget formation transparent, the Union Ministry of Finance has decided to invite suggestions for Union Budget 2017-18. As you may recall, this has been a regular feature on MyGov for the last two years.

Citizen from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of the budget making process. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

Last year we had an overwhelming response with over 40,000+ suggestions for Union/ Railway budget. Several of the suggestions received on MyGov were incorporated in the last year’s budget. To know more about these, click here.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th January, 2017.

Reasonable proposal for income tax with less impact to government tax income and for easy monitoring 1. Remove HRA, LTA, Medical and other allowance which are difficult to check genuinity 2. Update Tax slab as below 3 lacs to 10 lacs 10% tax 10 lacs to 15 lacs 20% tax Above 15 lacs 30% tax 3.Return 50% of tax collected from the people whos income is less than 5 lacs 4. Increase 80c limit To 2 lacs

1) Unemployed persons who have no salary income and only interest income should be exempt from income tax 2) Companies hiring foreign expatriates to work in India in non technical areas like marketing, hospitality, customer service , sales ,finance etc should be levied 500% tax on their salaries. This tax will go to National Unemployment Fund which will be used to pay social security to unemployed people in India with professional qualifications

Sir At present about 25 lakh people only paying Income tax out of 125 crore population. It clearly shows that the tax evaders are much more than the tax payers. So introduction some system to increase the tax payers at least from 25 lakh to 125 lakh people.

I had three ideas 1)new direct tax rates UPTO 300000 NIL FOR SENIOR CITIZEN 350000 300001 - 600000 8%,600001 - 900000 15%,900001 - 1200000 20% ABOVE 1200001 30%. 2)TAX ON AGRICULTURE INCOME INDIVIDUAL ABOVE 500000 AND FAMILY INCOME ABOVE 2000000 IS TAXABLE. 3)INTRODUCTION OF INHERITANCE TAX IN INDIA IS ONE OF MAJOR SOLUTION TO ROOT OUT CORRUPTION IN INDIA. IF PERSON HAD MORE THAN TWO HOUSES OR LAND ABOVE 50 LAKHS IN RURAL AREA,1 CRORE IN URBAN AREA, 2 CRORE IN CITIES AND 3 CORE IN METROES
