We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

The residents of smart city should have access to smart health as well. This government run health centre and the private health centres are not equipped with the technologies to counter all types of diseases. This lack of medical amenities has made the residents travel to far-off places to find a cure to their ailments. Thus, this calls for a change in the medical infrastructure.

It depends on good infrastructural setup with the support of local processes and parameters for governments to reach their citizens or end beneficiaries. Budget for planning, development and growth can be derived from well laid out e-governance systems.

Establishing the identity of the end beneficiary is a challenge in all citizen-centric services. Statistical information published by governments and world bodies does not always reveal the facts. The best form of e-governance cuts down on unwanted interference of too many layers while delivering governmental services.

People should take in account themselves on how to make their City smart. They should not through garbage etc. on roads, in front of neighbors houses, in the parks. Municipal can provide us with the amenities but it is the sole responsibility of citizens of Pasighat to co-operate with the authorities.

The people of pasighat are dependent upon farming only, there should be jobs for all the adult people of pasighat, there should be good sanitary and food, all children should be send to the school for higher studies. There is only one college and there is no other college in pasighat so the student have to move outside the city for higher studies.

Therefore the pasighat is becoming the hub for education and health care for its surrounding district. The people of the district and the surrounding areas will immensely benefits if there is one super-specialty hospital lwhich the district has none at present and also increase the number of institutes of higher education.
