We bring to you this wonderful news that our city-Pasighat has been selected under 23 fast track cities by Govt. of India and we need to submit the revised plan by 15th April 2016. As we know that we worked very hard in our previous attempt however unfortunately we missed coming in the first 20 list of cities and finished at 39th rank - missing by just 3 points. Let us take this as a positive feedback that we were very close to winning it and were far ahead of many other big cities.

Looking ahead, we need to work on the gaps identified by Govt. of India to revamp the proposal. One of the key weaknesses identified is SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) analysis. Here, specifically, Weakness and Threat needs to be more elaborate. We have uploaded a discussion page on mygov portal about this aspect of proposal and need support of people of Pasighat to come up in big numbers and contribute towards this discussion. Let’s brace up for this challenge and work with renewed and reinvigorated spirit in the direction of making Pasighat a smart city.

Pasighat is connected by road to Guwahaty and Dibrugarh which are prime place in north east. With commissioning of ALG for commercial flight it will be connected to every city in the country!

Hardly anyone can walk on the streets after 7 PM. It is like walking with ghosts in the dark. Once when I was a kid we played under the street light. I want to see my town lit with street lights everywhere.

I want to be Pasighat smart city. If road facility, women safety and most important thing provide poor people a better house and a good facility school where all the children and who are very poor cannot effort school. I want to be all the children of Pasighat will be educated and also for health centre for primary on secondary. If they all facility are in Pasighat then Pasighat become a smart city. So my last suggestion keeps your city clean.

Some will not know that in my locality why the mobile network so weak does. I can hardly open a page. How will we be able to do the feature that has been added to smart city proposal of Pasighat? Please, administration should take care of it. If possible establish a wifi zone for our locality.

Natural scenic spots can be beautified and made accessible to tourist as well as locals keeping into consideration hygiene and aesthetics of the area. Participation of locals have to be encouraged to make it more unique in terms of both location as well as people.

Our drainage system will be more important for me, as I am resident of Pasighat Market. During rainy season, there is water logging all around my house. Mosquitoes... everyone in my house suffers from malaria and now dengue is making life hell. Hospitals were also full no bed for patients.

if we want to make Pasighat a smart city then we have to do at least some work which are: - planning roads according to the need of at least next 50 years, planning the new sectors and markets and parking areas according to the need of next 50 years, after a good and reliable network of roads we can provide better transport services.

Though there is not much land encroachment in Pasighat as compare to other city, it can be banned abruptly by the district administration if smart city project starts.

The drafting of proposal should also be citizen consultative. Local bodies should take up these issues on priority. Every major aspect of planning and development should be taken into account. The Radio program though informative had some grey areas.
