The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP. For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

IF ALL RWA'S WERE TO EXPLAIN TO THE SECURITY GUARDS THAT BY BURNING LEAVES THEY ARE (1) CAUSING POLLUTION (2) DEPLETING SCARCE OXYGEN (3) POLLUTING THE ATMOSPHERE FOR MORNING WALKERS AND PEOPLE DOING YOGA AS WELL AS PEOPLE WHO ARE SLEEPING (MAYBE SOMEONE IS SICK ETC. THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND ANY +VE MOVE IN THESE DIRECTIONS IS A START FOR BETTER THINGS.

Dear PM - The car manufacturers should be told to ensure that the car will not start in case the drivers seat belt is not fastened. In case the driver removes the seatbelt during driving the engine should stop. It is very simple for the car manufacturer to do this and this will help in compliance of GOI rules and make things easier for the police department.

Dear Prime Minister - Pollution - in winter season it is usual practice for security guards to light bonfires to get warmth. The Supreme Court has passed an order banning burning of leaves etc. for this purpose but sadly this is not being enforced. It is suggested that various RWA's and other bodies be strictly advised to impart the necessary education to the security guards and see that this is not done. The RWA's should be made accountable (heavy fines) if this is not done.

UPA action can be justified that they want to hide their wrong deed but what NDA want that she can not set their core of action even after 6 month of government totaly directionless.
