The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP. For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Strict adherance of Quality Control in all Technical Institutions for quality delivery of education with all laboratory equipment and staff inspected for their efficiency and norms is the only solution for better skilled manpower availability. At Bhilai governent ITI, anounced by Chhattisgarh Government to be developed as odel ITI, ore than 100 crores worth equipment and machinery is non functional. This information is based on my personal visit.

Dear Sir, I have two suggestions which I think will be useful. 1) As an NRI I travel back and forth to India however I have stopped using AI due to delays, poor service etc. I suggest that AI should be privatized. Many countries have national airlines but they are pvt compinies. This way management will improve and hence quality will improve. 2) I want you to consider developing Andaman and Nicobar island on the lines of Singapore, autonomy and tax incentives.

Having worked in Gulf countries, I have observed that each Gulf State has fixed the Number of Visas for each man power exporting Nation like India. Unfortunately India exports a large number of Unskilled labour, who earn very low salary and remit small amounts. We shd therefore focus on Skill development and send only Skilled Labour so that they earn more and also make more remittance to India.

Why BJB do not ask question in press conference of Udhav Thakray that Why do not Shivsena supports unconditionally as NCP sent its support to governor. It will expose unreasonable demand of Shivsena, BJP should not take support of Shivsena on unreasonable demands although NCP will better partner for developing Maharashtra, on the conditions to save and clearance of earlier projects of NCP. BJP is not distractive kind of party so that earlier projects of NCP should be saved on the cost of support

Skill development should be a continuous process. In addition there must be a proper Certification process to certify that the person has achieved the desired skill. Once an employee achieves a Certification, he/she deserves to be rewarded . Such a system shd be in place in all Organizations/Industry/ Govt departments.

mining sector in India is very casually managed.NO TECHNICAL INPUT IS CONSIDER.only motto is to yearn profit. No planing is on the line for exploitation as per present need and future reservation of our natural resources.Worst is in private sector.Authority of public sector just go on to maintain on going legacy and practice and superannuate peacefully. If Govt. take some decision they tried to implement it but no real contribution left by them to be followed to strength our future.
