Adoption of a village and Adoption of Slums are very meaningful programmes in NSS, however we know that these remained on papers. No result has been achieved in absence of serious efforts. NSS has the largest resource pool available for any social cause. It is time that NSS functioning is analysed by including all youth whether in school or outs side education system.Similarly,Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan has the largest reach in every district of India with offices and resources.

'Swachchha Bharat' mission is and its successful consequences has become the dream of every Indian now. But it won't workout better unless it is supported by the legal provisions. The Govt. should fix the standards of sanitation for the houses, offices, roads, market places, public areas, etc. and have the strong supervising systems.
