The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Idea : Graduates have to include various skills like leadership & team building in the resume to get the job. The person has to go around for internships or other programs to get a certificate. Instead if the individual identifies any specific improvement project in his locality, may it be cleanliness/ education / citizen friendly app development, and upload 2-3 page report 'after completing' the task to Ministry website, & on assessment of 1-2 week, get a certificate from gov would be helpful.

Dear Sir, I was related to education for some time and used to hear about non availability of Text books. Used to hear various reasons. In this regard can't we instruct all the all the state and Central Boards to make available text books on their website in PDF format? (Past board question papers can be made available.) The availability of text books on web will enable to save the loss to time or inconvenience in teaching due to non availability of text books in case of delayed printings.

Respected PM, I came across this interesting article about setting up textile manufacturing. I was very surprised to know that these guys chose manufacturing in US over India. The article has given a detailed report about how it is economical to manufacture in US than India. Please have a look, this can help us understand and make things better and make more supporting environment for manufacturing in India. Article is published at: http://bit.ly/1wTYEcn Thanks, Somesh

Sir, If government has to give reservation, give it on monetary basis. Provide free money, services and food to the poor and needy. Its not good that government is trying to feed those people whose stomach is already full. Do something good for your country so that in future we remember u as a good human being and great leader who stood up for his people. Try to investigate into this matter and try to find out the numbers related to this

Sir,i just got t info that now banks r giving only 5 ATM transactions free in their own bank n 2in other banks n after it Rs20 charge per transaction. What i think is t reason of making facilities available is to make life easier, this is not easy, its making it more complicated,i think there should be as many as transcations free as much needed, not only 5 n charging transactions!!! Not at all. SIr just think about it. A responsible citizen,Swapnil Wagh,MUM.
