The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Adherence to Quality Control Manual prepared by University be made compulsory for every educational institute. Uploading of institutional activity on website is not done. Student feed back for faculties, attendance and other records on web site is a dream. I had been working as Quality Control Head in one technical institute. Management did not like its implementation. Some unpopular steps have to be taken for better education delivery systems.

In the Budget 2015,i suggest that presumptive taxation should be brought in more and more business activities such as professionals, different types of businesses including manufacturing ,trading and service industries.Different slabs should be prescribed for different industries based on average to be worked out by selecting a sample .That will make the Income Tax Act simpler, more effective, user friendly and tax collection would be easily collected without litigation

Some research was done by Agriculture Statical Society for grain storage requirement for India some where in 1972 by Dr. K. N. Ponnuswamy. Based on this report food corporation storage facilities were created. Today lot of wastage in gain collected by Governments is taking place. Intense data management is required to provide proper facilities for preservation of food gains.
