A request which I would like to make is that so many original property and assets documents are demanded for family visit visa, even after having issued similar visa 4 times or more in past by UK Gov that it becomes disgusting to make an application for a family visit visa. This point may kindly be taken up with British High Commissioner in India, especially when India is offering a facility for issuing visa on arrival. Best Regards, venjusa

Embassies need to be very friendly with NRIs. Since NRIs are carriers of the image and culture of this great nation, they need to be well equipped with all relevant information of the developments taking place in the country and the facilities available for NRIs. The embassies should highlight the importance of Yoga and its advantages to achieve internal peace of mind through which external peace which is very essential for worldly peace these days of terrorism getting spread fast.

If it is tedious to inform the land acquisition, High Commissions may held a record or it can be found on the web so that NRIs can check to find the status of their property. Jai Hind

This is regarding the land acquisition by Govt bodies. Nowadays for Byepass road or ring road or in short for better infrastructure govt bodies acquire land that belongs to NRI's. Would it be better, if such information related to acquisition be posted in overseas embassies. When the last known address is not correct/verified and if the authorities come to know that they have gone overseas, it would be nice on the part of the authorities to display such info through Indian High Commissions.

I YES RAJ, yesraj@gmail.com

We need to make our embassies neat and tidy. Remove obsolete machines and systems. Ensure the staff posted at the embassies are smart and capable of handling latest technology. The experience of our 5 star hotels should be visible there. We no longer need to appear as third world country.

Embassies abroad are dealing with issues everyday. They should be asked to compile issues and also ask them to suggest remedial action required. A time frame may be given to submit their view points. These views should be addressed to the people to comment before taking final decision. A full proof action plan may be put online with scheduled date to accomplish. This should be placed for people to monitor. Otherwise, mere floating site and inviting ideas are meaningless, if actions are not taken
