Very recent experience at High Commission of India, London. I went for Consular Services. It was like going to a Fish Market. There are 2 service windows and hardly any space to sit. Went with an appointment of 12:30 am, they were still calling for 11:00 am appointments. I was asked to wait very rudely. High Commission should be like a very impressive corporate office which would give a good impression of our Country and servers should have a professional aptitude not the rotten babu one.

Professionalism, decent behavior is something which should be part of every GOI or MEA official character. I have bad experience of dealing with Dubai Consulate officials moreover all the grants and financial help which is meant for NRI is not given to the needy NRI's.

MOST OF THE POSTS TALK ABOUT RUDE AND NEGLIGENT BEHAVIOUR OF STAFF IN INDIAN EMBASSIES IN IMPORTANT COUNTRIES. THEY ARE FEARLESS AS THEY ALL ARE CONNECTED WITH HIGH MEA OFFICIALS. THAT IS WHY THEY GOT THIS PLUM POSTING. OUR HONBLE PM SHOULD ORDER AN ENQUIRY ABOUT HOW INEFFICIENT AND PROVEN RUDE PEOPLE GET POSTED TO GOOD PLACES AND TAKE ACTION ON THE HIGH OFFICERS WHO GOT THEN THERE. ONLY THIS WILL CHANGE THINGS. OTHERWISE WE CAN KEEP ON SHOUTING ABOUT OUR SUFFERINGS.

The diplomatic missions abroad must primarily concern and work for interst of nation and Indian national too. Recently I registered issue of Indian pension claim unanswered by the Govt Kenya before MEA over pgportal vide No. MEAPD/E/2014/06148. The MEA reply was also ´diplomatic´ advising to contact HC in Kenya. The issue pertains to large number of pensioners and every attempts to approach HC and Govt Kenya has been exhausted. MEA is expected act responsible taking up issue with Govt Kenya.

Sir I feel there is no direct check on the functioning of the mission abroad. There must be a regular Audit of all the complaints received by the Mission by the MEA. This would not only help the MEA to check and improve the working of the missions, but also help to improve the quality of services provided by the Missions Abroad.

Indian Embassy should be proactive in spreading Indian culture, philosophy and language. If you can impress upon the minds of other culture they will have interest in our country. Idea is promoting ancient Indian literature on cosmology, Architect, music and textile. Western world doesn't know much about our achievement in this field.
