Sir, I faced a small issue recently with Indian Embassy in Malaysia. I just wanted to attest one document but they demand us to do the attestation back home in their respective Secretariat - consular and visa wing. Previously they used to do that (VFS). It's very small thing and I am sure they can start it again. Thanks

My experience at Indian Embassy, London, was not great. They don't have appointment system, People have to queue outside embassy from early morning 5-6 AM to avoid any disappointment. Also the employees they don't have little bit courtesy about people, they talk very rude, show no respect. I feel that they should be given training on how to talk to people(Customers) they are serving and most importantly they should have appointment system in place, so that people can book it online.

The attitude of the embassy employees towards the people who go there to get help is "you are paid to wait". If any question is asked the standard response is "go wait" with a look on his/her face saying "arent you paid to wait"? It is ridiculous. Why cant they just give us the information like - what needs to be done, how much time will it take, what is missing etc. God forbid if you try to get some information - they stare you to death and raise their voice to answer as if you just swore at them!

My experience of Indian High Comm in London is horrible. Nothing positive. Staff are rude and treat their own country men/women with utter disrespect. When any questions asked to the competent people working at the commission, they don't know have answers or respond in such a manner that one wants to throw their own arm at them. Enquiry counter has a person sitting who just doesn't seem to enjoy the job. If these sort of office staff were hired in private companies, no future for them.

If the following points are taken care of then all other problems will eventually take care of them self. 1) Less man power in Indian Embassy UAE. 2)Too many bosses for one clerk causes confusion. 3)No overtime for locally recruited staff. Above was staff point of view below is for NRI's Proper process to attain PAN card or other IDs

I was joking with my husband that if we feel any patriotism we should make a trip to the Indian Embassy and that feeling will be wiped out of us - that's the awful experience every single time a trip to the Indian embassy results in. The person at the counter just walked away leaving like 7-8 people waiting for more than an hour without saying a word. Someone had to knock on the door when another employee came and said its their lunchtime,What about the people waiting- dont they have to eat too?
