Indian Embassy in anywhere in the world is same As Pakistan treat the Indian in their territory. Seems like they don't care about Indian but as soon as any white people walked in then they are like before 1947 gulam and treat them like a king. They don't like their own regional people.

I had to go to Indian Embassy in Washington DC to get my passport renewed. Even though my experience over there was pretty satisfactory, I could see lots of drama over there with people fighting with embassy staff. To put it briefly, here is what I understood. a) There are no clear instructions on the documents to carry available on the website.b) Website not user friendly c) No instructions on the parking space available nearby on website d) Staff not helping with taking copies of originaldocs

SanFrancisco Consulate is very unfriendly/uncaring at best and hostile at worst. Other countries missions in SFO treats me better as a visitor than Indian Consulate in SFO. However I have had very good experience with the consulates in Europe. Many years ago, I dealt with Indian embassy in Budapest when my sister lost her passport while we were travelling there and was so happy with the Kind and Speedy way they dealt with the issue and gave a provisional passport in one day. Best experience ever

The one change that we really need is look wise its just ok. Indian embassy should have Indian pictures and display of Indian tradition with attractive style.

The Citizenship Ammendment Act is not being properly implemented in Embassies. 1. In the Embassy at London, children with even one parent pakistani or bangladeshi (even if the other is indian) is not given OCI, while the Citizenship act states that only if the OCI applicant was previously a Pakistani or Bangladeshi citizen can he be refused. 2. It says "Iranian origin can apply for OCI only on the basis of their Indian origin proof only." Why not on basis of marriage to indian? http://goo.g

Just few months ago, we went to our Indian Embassy in Australia, Adelaide to apply my Daughter's Indian passport. People over there were really polite, friendly, helpful and organised. We were quite satisfied with their service. In fact we are quite satisfied that we received passport within 3 weeks time period

My Wife's passport was expiring so wanted to renew the passport. Also wanted to use this opportunity to update her last name on the passport and add my self as spouse. Here as well the same story, The marriage certificate has to be attested by MEA new delhi, I asked if this can be facilitated by Indian mission in Toronto, but answer was to send the marriage certificate to MEA Delhi for attestation and only then the credentials on the PP can change. Why can't Head of Indian mission cannot attest?

When my daughter was born in Canada I wanted her to be Indian Citizen and wanted to get her India passport, I came to know that the process of getting birth registered is the first need and for that the birth registration is required with MEA New Delhi. Why the process so lengthy and why can't Indian mission abroad can provide attestation or facilitate the attestation with MEA Delhi. I had to give up and get her Canadian passport instead because we had to travel back to India next month. WHY?

I have been to Beijing Embassy a couple of time and for a small task such as attesting some documents (a signature and stamp), they need 3 days. And two different occasion, they had the same excuse for delay, "an audit is going on".
