Further....such a receipt they you might not get your documents back. The staff on all the counters is so arrogant that you would decide in your first visit that you would never visit this place again. They are over-stressed due to unnecessary high workload which can be avoided by providing online appointments. The fee has to be paid in cash and one need to bring exact change. They do not accept visa/maestro or any card. Which age the Indian embassy in London is working in??

Hello, I live in Auckland, New Zealand. Services of Indian Embassy here in Wellington are fast. I used their services 3 times to get PCC and once for passport. It took them 1 week for PCC and I received my passport within 3 weeks. Which is fast compare to how long it takes in India. I am very happy with their efficiency of work as well. I do have some suggestions about payments options they give, Instate of bank cheque to High Commission payment to NZ bank account would be very good. Thank yo

With regards to Nepal: The Embassy should really look into the biasness with the Indian origin people in the ground level. Most of the people ( for example eastern Nepal) don't even get chance to interact with their embassy. It shud not be capital centric but extend its communication to the whole of the country. Also should take steps to ensure that the people of Indian origin born in Nepal shud get citizenship on basis of birth else they become stateless.

Further....The cleaning staff working inside the embassy looks like that of a cheap roadside restaurant staff. No dressing code and the cleaning equipments they carry does not give a good feeling about the upkeep of embassy. Talking about the main staff at counters, they will never do your work during your first visit to the embassy. The website has either incomplete info or confusing info. Moreover the small receipt of documents/fees on which they write down your collection date, if you loose

This was highlighted last year on NDTV as well. The Indian Embassy at London is a worst experience for any human being visiting it. Be it an Indian or a foreign national. First thing that irritates is, there is no automation of appointment. One has to stand in generally long queues before they get a token to enter inside the embassy. Then once inside you see a small place which full packed with no proper ventilation. Toilets are kept like any other Govt. building in India.

I live in DC for 15 years and never experienced good service from embassy. Simple things like phone response doesn't work. They informed me the passport was lost but when I went there, and asked them to search, they found it. My wife had to travel with 2 little kids multiple times to DC embassy. Really shameful service.

The OCI, U-visa transfer process is unnecessarily made complicated and confusing for most of applicants I been talking to. Why they need again all documents for simply transferring the U-visa sticker to a new passport???? They already have it in file when we applied for the OCI and were verified. Please make it simpler and quicker to process it. Many of my colleagues (Non-Indian) mention of poor service and so many visits for simple visa process! They all get frustrated with Indian consulate

High Commissions and Embassy should display the vibrant indian architecture and colour of the country . Some of the poorer nations than India have massive and Architecturally beautiful high commission and embassy building. You would have noticed in your visit to canberra, poor lighting and non-vibrant look. Indian Policies, People and Places should visible in every single Embassy or High Commission
