The document management systems in a number of embassies are paper based and need to move to electronic friendly forms , this will aid in improving quality of data as it will not be hand written.

The Washington DC embassy is one of the most pathetic embassy one can ever visit 1 There is no shade or anything to wait outside, no provision of drinking water or restrooms 2 Totally unfriendly staff where you get the feeling as if they are doing a favor 3 It hardly opens on time 4 The waiting area inside is very small, hardly 20 people can sit/stand there 5 Even though ph# is provided, no one ever picks it and voice mail is always full. Even for small inquiries, one needs to visit.

The High Commission of India - Brunei Very rude in behavior · Treat like something · Limited working hours · Poor English and no eye contact during conversation · Difficult to get info thru phone · Late process · Download the Form from website and hand written instead of online type-in · Poor document verification · Funny excuses for delayed process

Information/Latest News/Announcements on the High Commission of India in Canberra is outdated and the last announcement dates back to December 2013. Indian Government embassy and high commission websites need to be updated at least once a week or bi-weekly with information from within the region and india. A lot of links are broken, there is no archived feature on the website, the quality of web content its design, organisation and presentation need to be improved substantially.

Every time I go to embassy, I am in fear what will I be asked to produce....... Irrespective of what is written on the site, there are always something extra asked for. Also why do we need to produce tons of attestation on every document, We are outside India that means all our documents are legal and well scrutinised, I wish this process could get smoother and better, This is great burden for NRI's

The Embassy at New York is really pathetic and the people working there are also very rude and not helpful. They will only do your work if you pay them money, which is ridiculous. The embassy itself is not clean and is a shame to call it an Indian Embassy. There is a person sitting downstairs who I believe also works for the embassy and charges unacceptable charges just to print out papers and to notarize, I had paid around 600-700 dollars to get my work done, Modiji please do something.

The contractor BLS delayed my son's refund for 6 months without any reason and the CGINY refuses to take any action against the contractor. Their explanation - if we take action, BLS will stop refunds to everyone - at least my son got his refund.
